In this my new video of Marvel's Spider-Man you can see a short comparison between the spiderman of Peter Parker and the spiderman of Miles Morales.
This Marvel's Spider-Man peter parker vs miles morales video is fully played, recorded and edited by me, the video is taken from the ps5 version of Spider-Man Remastered and the ps5 version of Spider-Man Miles Morales.
While I was playing in free roaming I asked myself which of the 2 spidermans would be the fastest and then since I have both games I decided to create this short comparison on some simple challenges: Run, Wall run, jump and obviously web swing.
In this spiderman vs spiderman miles morales video I obviously tried to make it as fair as possible without using Miles' special powers, all the clips are recorded in the same place and in the exact same way.

Something interesting to point out is that while Miles and Peter run the same speed, Miles does more work to do it as he is shorter, you can see his legs take way more steps than Peter to match the speed
Peter is 177 and Miles is 173, this is not a big diference

for those wondering why peter looks like that while running is cause that's the run skill which you use to jump to a great height at fast speed, his normal run looks very normal lmao
Miles game model its worked upons peter's model and animations...thats why the speed setting its the same on both..(also..thats why the playable peter glitch was possible...he is in the base code of the game for the programmation of miles)

They are the same speed, any difference in this is just human error it's not like he can get the perfect timing on this.
I feel like peter should be faster, since he has been Spider-Man waaay longer than Miles. But when you toggle venom mode as miles, you should gain a speed boost.

According to Marvel Database Power Grids (616 for Peter and 1610/Ultimate for Miles) they're both 3 hence both capable of achieving high speeds. However, Peter has achieved more speed based feats in the comics. Not saying Miles is slow or can't be as fast but Peter has so far done more.
Damn I swore when I play that miles’s swinging seems faster. Regardless, something about Mile’s swinging animation makes it look like he’s “faster” and I dig that. I think the general feel of the game has improved from the original ps4 spiderman. This is coming from someone who’s just finished the remastered spiderman 1 hour ago and has just started miles morales

Stan Lee and Marvel do that with their characters so Stan remembered easier. He had trouble remembering things. Most characters have alliteration or assonance.

Most names have letters close to one another too. Like Steve Rogers (S and R) or Tony stark ( T and S).

I think miles does everything so much more cleaner, smoother, and over all just different. in the running you can see how miles had his legs straight while Peter was running with each leg going slight to each side.

That's because the person was holding the super-jump button. It makes Peter run slightly faster (just think of how long-jump runners in the Olympics take a running start before they jump). His normal running is just like Miles.

About the swinging part, it depends on which level you are as your swing speed increases as you progress.
The way he leaps off of rooftops and flips backwards to face the camera before falling into a head first dive is just full of the exaggerated swagger of a Black teen.

the differences are subtle but they are there. Like when they Freefall Peter goes into a pointed dive but Miles lets his arm and legs hang out ragdoll style.

I do hope they get balanced in SM2 for an example that Pete is faster, stronger, and has more health than Miles since hes Older and more experienced. While Miles since hes less experienced he can have a small chance to fail web swings causing him to loose a lot og speed, Finnishers have a small chance to not finnish but he has a smaller hitbox

I saw somewhere on Reddit that insomniac had made him quicker due to the more fast paced campaign, as people already (more then likely) understood how game mechanics work from the previous spiderman. Same reason why miles doesn’t have to learn swing kick or other moves that Peter does. It’s also supposed to be a hint to the fact that mikes was trained by Peter, so anything he does better is him adding to what Peter had taught him.
