55009 'Alycidon' returns to the mainline! Barrow Hill to Carnforth - Railcam cameras 28/03/23

The Deltic Preservation Society's Class 55 'Deltic' No. 55009 'Alycidon' returns to the mainline with a trip to West Coast Railway's base at Carnforth for a series of planned mainline test runs.
West Coast Railway's Class 57 No. 57012 was despatched to Barrow Hill as 0Z54 Carnforth Steamtown to Barrow Hill, where it was tucked in behind 009 for the return trip to Carnforth. Passing our cameras at Chesterfield, Derby (Rail Operations Group), Crewe (Crewe Heritage Centre), Wigan North Western (Swan & Railway Hotel), Preston and Bolton le Sands (Freightmaster), 55009 led 57012 on 0Z55 Barrow Hill to Carnforth Steamtown.
