I was at this performance. I couldn’t get tickets and I was very depressed about it. But the wonderful woman who’s now been my partner for the last ten years somehow managed to get tickets in a box, and we went there for our first ever date together. The concert was phenomenal, and it holds very special memories.
You are a lucky man, Ian. She must be one of the coolest chicks around-period! Ten years is a milestone. (Nov. will be the start of nine years with my partner and me.) So, in all eloquence...good on ya!

Thanks mate
Thanks! Great job!!
Why do they only list 11 songs in the video description above? Odd!
thx you !!
Terimakasih kawan
Their reunion is one of the best events in the world's history
It's not so young any more is it... So old? perhaps it's time to write a new song called so old i bet that would be funny. haha.
Not really though is it
Couldn't more agree..
Too fast.
Just saw this lot live in 2023. They're still just as good.
Dog Man Star is one of the most perfect albums ever recorded.
Really!
And the first suede too
@@spiralmind9589 But Brett Anderson would disagree with you though. A few years back he actually revealed his alternate track list for the album. He said that he would take out The Power and Black And Blue and put in My Dark Star and Killing Of A Flashboy (together between Daddy's Speeding and This Hollywood Life), and The Living Dead in before The 2 Of Us. I think he's got a good point, that would have made a fantastic album even better.
@@shaggydog9789 And of course easy to make this (or your version) on ipod etc!
One of the greatest bands ever, and one of the greatest live bands ever. WOW!
I give props to anyone who will get onstage and perform good music. However, I find nothing to make them really stand out.
It IS good, just not outstanding, imho.
Mertztillithurts you’re clueless and lack any context with regard to said band.
Yes very good indeed seeing them a few times back in the day with b butler do u no who Richard oks mam is?
Grandiosos 20 años de Suede!!!
Sin duda merecen estar en los mejores escenarios.
No entiendo quienes postean mierda.
Mejor no opine!!!!

Without cellphones is the crowd, it looks like they are simply enjoying the old songs as they did it in the old times. I can't ask for more!.
Suede is the pure essense of 90's Britpop. The band had been and will be in my best moments and memories always.
Literally no one did. Brett came into the crowd and I was lucky enough to get a hug from him while he sang
I feel very much the same .This band inspired me like a religion ./non religion lol.Too now be writing my fourth album release .They are by far my soul .Though I'm told I sound like Stereophonics .Which oddly I never heard much about until recent

We take the pills to find each other.
They only became a Brit Pop band after Bernard Butler was sacked. They were better before
@@rachelfoster1945 are you watching the same video . plenty of cameras going off.
Seen Suede on Tuesday night, in the O2 in Glasgow. They were magnificent.
Brett is a great singer, still full of energy.Superb.👌
I was there that night, he was like a Spinosaurus on ketamine and amphetamines.
To think this band had Bernard Butler AND found Richard Oakes to replace him. They won the guitarist lottery. Amazing.
He is one of the best, he started with the band at the age of 17. A music magician.
Bernard was irreplaceable, but Richard did a great job.
I would bet he knows what Suede was all about when he joined. He fit right into the band equally as good as Bernard.
I like Suede guitar style. I'm a guitar player and I like Metal style guitar playing .. but I love how Suede guitar parts are and how it blends to the music.
I even like the "Tears" with only just Brett and Bernard. I got that album.
Suedehead, that is me. I went to London in 1992 and found them 1993. Ever since I love them.
I watched them when they perform in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2011.. with Beautiful Ones was the only song I know from the back then.. But I got captured..and here I am now.. replaying their documentary movie The Insatiable Ones a thousand times
2011 blacberry right?
@@keyannajantoko1886 yes!
The best band left of this era, the fittest front man left also. As they say on match of the day, he's a min 8 out 10 every game. The band are class, so much swagger .
Thanks to the band for making this show available on CZcams!
Suede's live performance at São Paulo in 2012 (during the Planeta Terra festival) was one of the most electrifying that I've ever been. 1 hour and 16 songs without a break.
Abraço desde Portugal!!! Suede rules the music world! :)
I didn´t even know they have ever played here in Brazil... Greetings from Belo Horizonte! hahah
Suede was one of the soundtrack of 90s kids...
Those sweet memories of our generation.
Btw its amazing, they dont aged that much at all eh...
1993: Richard Oakes attends his first ever Suede gig.
1994: Richard Oakes joins Suede aged 17.
Remarkable story when you think of it. He must have been on top of the world.
I’ve always found this fascinating. To find a guy at that age that could just fit right in and then go on to make new music equally as impressive as the best of the best existing material
The definition of a prodigy
He probably had the tab books. The songs on guitar weren't that hard to learn. I had both albums down more or less BUT playing them with feeling, the overdubs, the keyboard parts AND the amazing bsides took some work. He always sounded a bit tame but he did manage to make his own style and trash was a great first single.
@@ytb460 - I can tell you that the tab books available at the time frequently bore no relation to the actual guitar parts being played... In fact there are quite a few YT videos that go over just how inaccurate many of those tab books were. As I understand it, the songs tended to be transcribed by a pianist and the tab was derived note-for-note from those piano transcriptions, sometimes with little apparent thought as to the practicality of how to play them.
According to the "Love And Poison" book, Richard figured out a lot of the songs by ear from the records (including B-sides) before he went for his audition and what impressed the band musically speaking over and above the others who auditioned (apparently including a number of established players and - infamously - one Melody Maker journalist who wrote about his experience, didn't get the gig, but the mocked-up photo in the article with him in Bernard's place did end up on a bootleg T-shirt) was that he knew more of the repertoire than any of the others and had sussed out the "feel" of how Bernard played (and, even more crucially, wrote) better than anyone else.
I'm a little over a couple of years younger than Richard and had been messing around on guitar for a year or so when he joined the band, so I was impressed in those terms anyway. However, I also remember that the UK music press at the time, which could be very bitchy by nature, didn't always pull its punches at the notion of a then-17 year old guitarist joining a band as famous (and fractious) as Suede were and were often downright mean. With 20/20 hindsight, what Richard managed to achieve in terms of both the music and weathering the bullshit was nothing short of spectacular.
@turricanedtc3764 No different or more impressive than Bernard learning Smiths songs by ear in his bedroom when he was 14 and writing most of Suedes debut when still in his teens. Bernard made a point of not writing overly complicated parts because he wanted their music to be accessible. Which is a big part of why Richard was able to learn them. What makes Bernard special was *how* he played those parts, he is an incredibly exciting raw, volatile guitarist.
He and Richard are both brilliant guitarists, and it could be reasonably argued Richard is the better of the two from a purely technical stand point. But they are worlds away in style and approach. Richard is a technician and perfectionist. Bernard doesn't care about technique or being perfect, he never played a song the same way twice because his emotional state was never exactly the same from one gig to the next. So learning his album parts note perfect is impressive but kind misses the point of what they were loosing and what Richard was trying to replace.
This is how a true great band is.
By the way Asphalt World is one of the greatest songs ever.
Met them before and man...they were the nicest people ever. Brett was exceptionally sweet. Mat was funny.
How lucky i am, before my wife (RIP) we go to bali to see this our fav band for last time. Even for me already see them 5times n still again n ..
I was there. Great gig and electric atmosphere. This and the final Pulp gig in Sheffield are the best I've ever been to.
Been listening to these songs for 25 years now, many of them relate to my personal sweet memories. So much love from Vietnam!
Viva Vietnam!!
Awesome. I live in Vietnam. My wife is Vietnamese. I love Suede too
What a band. What. A. Band.
My only and number one favourite band ever since 1993💛
One of the best live venues, with one of the best live bands. I am so grateful to be able to watch this on YT. Hopefully one day I can be there in person.
One of my all-time favourite gigs. What an absolute privilege it was to be there.
The legend. Best UK Band ever. Love from Malaysia.
Awesome show! Didn't know they had decided to reunite again 'permanently' after this show. Brett hasn't lost a bit of energy or voice. Saw them live 2 years ago and they rooooocked . Best britpop band, Period.
His energy is intact, however he has lost his voice big time. It’s sad listening to him like this :(
It's going to be one hell of a party when this corona virus finally fucks off and we can all go gigging again
I could never imagine BA and his voice are so young at such an age. Recover to 100% BA!
Amazing.
It was a great gig which I was sound engineer for bringing memories back when I was growing up in the 90s
Ahh boys. I miss seeing you live so much. Thanks for 25 years! Until we meet again ❤️
I`ve listened to Suede for 20 years and am always feeling ahead of their time.
Espectacular Suede, greetings from Perú.
The best concert everrrrr....
they play all of my fave song..
amazing
remarkable
i wish i was there...
damn...
Love Suede! This brought so much memories for me. They came to perform in Singapore many years ago and it was euphoria!!! Much love from a Singaporean in NSW, Australia🥰
I was at this gig. Its easily top 5 gigs I've ever been to. Absolutely astounding.
Reading your comments and getting goosebumps ...you arr so lucky to be there. Suede❤
This show allowed me to finally fly to Europe and see them now 5 times since they won't play the usa . Worth it every time
I did not know suede had too many hits in every album ,almost every song until i listened their all albums in CZcams music. Can be the Best band ever..
Now watching Now enjoying 💐💐💐I love Suede since 90's 💗💌💌💌
Just had me a spliff ...listening to this .. makes me feel young again ... utterly stunning! SUEDE!!!! 😊😊😊
THINK I'LL JOIN YA ON THAT ONE MATE.
I was in Malaga last Thursday and Suede was my favourite group of the whole Andalucía Big Festival.
I didn't know they can transmit so many emotions in a concert. Loved it.
Saturday night... the best song EVER!!!! Im their biggest fan in Mexico City!!!
The asphalt world!!! omg
Most beautiful smile.
My favourite band ever. 💙
One of the best shows, not a single average song, even considering they didnt play some of my fave songs (We Are The Pigs, By The Sea, Electricity, etc), amazing setlist and performance!
My mum said ‘I’ve recorded this for you and we’ll watch it when you’re home’ 😍
always nice to see people of my age getting wild and dance their asses off to 90's greatest songs
Crazy... great to see this and relive a very memorable concert... was desperate to go and got tix the day before for the front row of a box right above the stage... just great to be a part of it... 🎸
ALWAYS A GREAT SHOW WHEN THIS BAND PLAY LIVE, BEEN FOLLOWING THEM SINCE THE DROWNERS WAS RELEASED. ONE OF MY TOP 5 FAVE BANDS OF ALL TIME.
What a voice! this band is relentless.
Suede took my gig virginity on the Dog man star tour, I met Simon Gilbert before the gig who signed an autograph for us and gave me a cigarette for helping him find the nearest off license.
Cant believe that was over 22 years ago.
More than 25, presumably.
@@danielkoschalka3955 it could be possible that I am missing a couple of years from the 90's thanks to certain substances that were in fashion at the time.
Grande Suede, Viva Chile !
Como siempre, rindiendo su homenaje a "Cachureos"
Todavía me da pena que no los pudimos ver este año
@@Rongas2112 cierto. Que vengan para el tour de Coming Up estaría genial

perfect performance!💯
Amazing sound quality for a youtube video, that bass is honkin' good.
True legends of Britpop... Their music has such a distinctive character... I don't think no one can fill in their shoes... Such a unique rendition of Britpop...
"He's just a facking animal". My fave bit of their live gigs.
ブレット&バーナードは稀代のソングライターチーム!

What an amazing performance, so impressed
I was very lucky to see them in 1995 in Madrid
Huge admiration and thanks Britt and the rest of musicians for the passion and talent
Always loved Brett’s high nasal Middle English voice so exceptional different and unique. A voice like no artist I’ve ever heard !I would have flown to England to hear him sing my favorite “Heroine” .
Heroine is also my fave Suede song. its just brilliant! But then Dog, Man, Star is a masterpiece.
A band like no other, a raw sunstone among chinese plastic gems.
Lets make Western Culture immortal!
Amazing. Did you ever realize that every one of their songs is totally unique!?
Fucking AMAZING. The best guitar band ever, and they still go strong
Miss the old days. Miss you, Brett. Miss you, Suede >
Thank you so much for adding this. Still getting over Autofiction show in So Cal from late last year! 25+ years was too long without you! X
I have no word for explanation of my this feeling. This great songs make me so young as teenagers. Now I can smell my old days. Recently we couldn't get a chance to join like this gig, so I regret I weren’t in here.
Saw them in Brighton last year and was inspired by the amount of young people at the gig. Their recent albums rank as some of their finest work and it was one of their best gigs I have ever seen.
1:01:28 Brett's smile! That's when he realised Suede should reform. 😊
I remember too well while my friends are deep into boy bands I'm into Suede. Congrats Bret and the Gang. Thank you.💯
The best gift of my birthday. Thanks guys, this band is my favorite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautifull!!! The most underrated rock band ever! Brett is the last great frontman
Great setlist
I was lucky to see them in 2012, in Santiago de Chile, was Wonderful!
amazing original band

Hermoso concierto!! Vengan a Chile 🇨🇱
Brett vino a Chile en 2009, Suede vino a Chile en 2012, y Suede iba a tocar en marzo de este 2020 nuevamente en Chile, pero se canceló en febrero x culpa de la productora. Espero q después de la pandemia vuelvan a Chile.
