Wisconsin has determined that kratom doesn’t meet scheduling requirements and are in process of reversing the ban.

Kratom is a miraculous plant that SAVES the lives many responsible users every single day. The CDC tested many post mordem blood samples that had mitragynine toxicity and found the kratom was adulterated or there were comorbidities upon further autopsy. Regulation is important. We aren't banning alcohol and tobacco that has proven to be deadly and addictive.

A very informative discussion . But must take issue with the statement that Kratom is not cheap . One can purchase 250 grams from numerous online vendors for less than $ 40 . Even ingesting relatively large doses ( > 15 gms ) makes it very inexpensive .

On July of 2022, I was in an NIH study of thousands. So so, your introductory statements are confusing to me.

My perfectly healthy 22 year old son Matthew Joseph Eller died on 11/10/2021 from Kratom. His autopsy results read: “TOXIC EFFECTS OF MITRAGYNINE”. His toxicology showed he had no prescription drugs, no street drugs nor alcohol in his system when he died.

Very sorry to hear that . Don't know how coroner determined that was the cause of death when no studies have been conducted on human toxicity levels of mitragynine .
