    I got to see this presentation last night before the game. My son was in my arms smiling. In the end, it brought tears to my eyes. Call me a wussie. I Don't Care. I wish I was apart of the 80s and 90s Jets. But it wasn't in the plans. But what was in the plans, was for me to discover our beloved Jets on 21 December 2014. ...And I am damn proud to be apart of this team and apart of all you and the city of Winnipeg.

      You don't EVER , EVER HAVE To apologize for feeling ANY kind of emotion.
      I live here. I LIVED through it. I FELT those same feelings. And in the fall of 1996 I felt a part of my soul die. It then felt like those same gods that I thought hated us and our city ..one of them was in the back chilling going 'Imma answer a Winnipeg prayer' and boom. Never again. The Jets are HOME and ALL of us are keeping it Forever together.

    great video piece by SN. this brought flashbacks for sure...the winnipeg whiteout was a sight to see in the 80's and early 90's. and it's def a beautiful sight in 2018....as much as EDM won their cups i'm sure the winnipeg arena was not a pleasant situation to be involved in. hoping the jets can make a deep p-off run now and beyond. great fans.
    as much as i dislike bettman i'm glad the jets were brought back to winnipeg. it was a shame the team left in '95 to begin with. i'm pretty confident now that the city, fans, and owners can keep the jets going for the long term and be competitive with the demands of today's nhl economics.
    winnipeg, wishing you success , as long as it's not against my red wings LOL!
    one last thing, drop your current uniforms (they suck) and bring back either the originals or the variation uniforms used til '95.

    • @thegamebastard
      @thegamebastard Před 6 lety +1

      Steven A. There uniforms have grown on me and I'd even say their road jerseys are the best in the league

    • @carparthero
      @carparthero Před 6 lety

      jared that's good that you have taken a liking to the current uniforms. as i thought about it i kinda do like the nameplate font (futuristic) and the numbers are ok too. they're not the worst out there but def not the best outright or within WPG's history. i'm old school and really like the one's they used from '79-80 til 89-'90.
      curtiswalker.com/jets/uniforms.aspx
      i have an idea that would work for everyone, they could keep what they have and use that 79-89 jersey as an alternate, using it perhaps, like 20x per season.
      enjoy the p-off's, WPG is really looking good for a WCF appearance and more, regardless of their jersey look :D

    • @thegamebastard
      @thegamebastard Před 6 lety +1

    • @carparthero
      @carparthero Před 6 lety

      great reply jared, can't disagree with what you wrote. red wings got a long way to get back, to be honest i picked NSH to win the series but being wrong about the jets is nothing to be ashamed of.
      these 2 teams really are evenly matched and it can still go either way. what's gonna break NSH's back is penalties taken and pekka in net. he really looked sketchy in gm 1and an extent gm 2. that gm 3 comeback is def gonna build WPG's confidence too.
      i think this is the best series and will probably be the best one aside from the SCF. whoever wins this , i believe can beat vegas.
      enjoy and cheers from southern ontario :D

    Towel power as it was originally called was the brainchild the late Roger Neilson while coaching the Vancouver Canucks during a playoff game where the officiating was to say the least one sided, he placed a white towel on the end of a hockey stick and waved it in "surrender" ,there is a statue commemorating the event outside of Rogers Arena in Vancouver B.C.

That and TV revenues and stuff like that. Now the dollar is more reasonable and Canadian teams get better TV deals
