Kage, you should do the bottom layer and two end walls in stone and then do the rest in wood. It will look kind of like an old English cottage.

Dive vertically with the glider and then aim yourself back up towards the sky. You will gain altitude quickly if you do this repeatedly.
When you’re on the glider and dive and lift it back up, you are not lifting it high enough at all
Yeah, you can stay in the air as long as you like if you do it correctly.
You jump higher without the glider equipt...keybind the glider

For the glider to climb, go in circles until you have enough height. Just like a U2 spy plane!
Kage for the glider you can try circling while aiming slightly upward. Large birds do this to gain height without using a lot of energy. Something to try. If you get dizzy then go the other direction.
Also hit the launcher and it will shoot you up in the air then get your glider out. Binding it to a key would be a smart thing. G key maybe?
If you want to get higher on kite. dip down and then hard up. hold it until you hear the flapper sound then even out. you said last time that to high up was bad. its what you need to do. no limitits you can get to anywhere on the island whit a launcher on the beach:)
ahh nothing better to do in the forest is build your dream cabin. you should make a little smoke house for all your drying needs for the winter months. :D

17: 20 if you notice the skin color, the one you can harvest for armor had a greenish or blueish where the other's were just white. They mostlylook the same but the green/blue ones are just stronger. There's another one too thats got spot on it thats even stronger.
P.S. love the kitchen
Kage, you just need to get up in the air after that take a minute or two and do a square pattern flying down to get some speed then fly upwards (about 45°) but you have to be going straight and repeat when you stop gaining altitude. Repeating this will get you up higher than the mountains.
You COULD make a loft for your kitchen and put all your drying racks up there
Protip: Wall shelves are climbable, and make for excellent scaffolding for tall walls.

Love the kitchen! REALLY think you should use your other little cottage as the smoking room filled with drying racks and shelves for MREs, cat food, candy bars and sodas. Make an effigy to store legs, arms and heads for the Greg stew and you’re all set. One thing I didn’t like about the effigy is that it can look untidy but if you keep the side sticks perpendicular to the post and flat to the wall they look good!
I still find it funny how they reduced complications with interaction by just giving Kelvin brain damage so that communication is easy through notes and making Virginia mute
You could fit some drying racks in that back room if you lost that fireplace. Not like you need one back there.
You probably could zig-zag over the beach a couple of times to gain enough altitude to get back to the base.
The raccoons keep eating all your meat off your drying rack and you can lock your door from the outside you got to flip it around
Yeah I was thinking same thing. He could take that cabin he made and turn it into a massive drying meat room and flip doors around to just keep it locked at all times.
I use that same beach as an outpost/turtle harvesting area. Go into your book and build a foundation (like the original Forest) and stretch it as tall as you can.
This makes building a higher platform easier. Jump from there, and you have a great launchpad!
You gotta pull up more to go higher. Dive down to gain speed them pull up at about a 45 degree angle. If you pull up to much you stall out. Play around with it. Takes practice but once you get the hang of it you'll be able to go anywhere just by flying.

when using the glider launcher you should hotkey the glider and jump on the launcher without the glider equiped, then equip it when you reach max height, you can go higher this way because the glider wont open as soon
The plot and graphics are excellent, as well as many innovations compared to the first part. In my opinion, one of the best survival games, with excellent graphics and an exciting atmosphere
Not an ideal solution, but the lock on a door can be deconstructed from the outside, allowing you to open locked doors from the outside and then simply replace the stick to re-lock it. Again, not ideal, but it works.
Hey Kage. If someone hasn’t already told you, the developers created all the music in game. You won’t be copyrighted for letting it play.
Coming along nicely. The gap on the shutters is worse than the ones at the top of the stone stacks, which you can put stone struts on the wood beams to fill.
The position of the fire in the chimney doesn't help for watching meat cook, hard to tell when it's done.
Oh and you can throw those stones a good distance and they will magnetically go into the holders.

Protip: The big log sled can also transport stones (28 at a time IIRC) or rocks (40 at a time), although you can only transport one resource at a time. Take it on a stone run up the river and gather a lot in a hurry, zipline them to the base, rinse and repeat.
You should at the very least move the launch pad at the beach closer to the rivers end near the forest and maybe just make it two logs high off the ground. With the added terrain height plus two logs worth of height you should make it much more than halfway by following the large river back towards your house
Maybe you could make a balcony level above the kitchen to overlook it and hold the drying racks?
bind glider to a number. Jump on glider launcher without glider and let it shoot you into the air, then hit the hotkey for glider. Much higher.
I put one of those wall shelves right on the fireplace above the ridge, then put oysters, dried fish, and dried meat on it so I can grab them for a quick stew.
Not exactly sure what the secret sauce is in this particular series, but ive really enjoyed watching this letsplay. Watching your base go from the treehouse and slowly explanding over time etc. I really cant wait to see the great hall completed. Keep it up!
When you're diving with the paraglider, you have to aim down more than on the way up go higher

Bro, out the pot on the fire with 2 red meat and dirty water. Boil and you get a meat broth that's gives a strength boost.
Locking your doors will not help, raccoons glitch through the walls anyway. I had to build over deep water to stop them. Eagles will fly through the walls also but not as bad as the raccoons. They both seam to only take my fish not the meat, nor do they take as much once they have dried.
you can unlock door from outside if u turn your camera to kinda clip into the wall. very simple.

If they want to see repetitive building (AND THIS IS NOTHING AGAINST GameEdged bc i do like him) buttt hes alot slower pace then you Kage and sometimes (sometimes) i gotta put it to x2 lol I LOVE Sons for the Forest and i can watch it all day from like 5 or 6 different content creators lol (no one really plays it that much anymore) but out of all of the content creators i think your videos are in the top tier!
(And i only say GE bc no one eles is making SOTF videos rn so hes the only comparison i got)
Some people do more fighting and jokes like Mad Vladd and IGP.
Some people are more story and immersive like Fooster and Fisk.
And some people just play the game how its meant to be played like you Kage and GE and i like all of it for there own reasons❤ haters gonna hate homie keep the vids coming!

Out of curiosity, when kage has mentioned the cannibals not coming for him but his base. Doesnt the big red ones (titans whatever they’re called) go directly for the base to “knock walls down” for the smaller ones to come in?
Dude, when you are heading back from the beach, you literally just dive down and lose your altitude, and then you don't make use of the speed and pull up. It's like you dive down and then just level off instead of using the speed to gain the altitude you need.
for the door frame.can you move the log up and then add the rocks under it ? for the big room.i put couch's in there .Kitchen look's great
u dont have to wait for the logs on the line.. just move your mouse upwards for the second one and it will follow the first right behind
I don't know why you people always worry about the radio, Endnight already said they don't do copyright claims on the music. If someone puts in a claim, it's a false claim.
Problems arise when bots copyright claim it in "bad faith" causing the bot owner to immediately get the revenue from the video, while forcing Kage to get in touch with CZcams and lawyers to fight the issue, and in the end the bot owner still retains partial monetization even if the claim is overturned.

they need to do what the dev of the infected did with the log cart where it becomes kinda intangible when you use it but as soon as tou let it go it becomes solid as i has a similar problem as you with the stairs but with ramps.
You need to work on your glider skills you can literally fly around the whole map
Like you i would like the stone walls and shutters slightly cleaner
I need to adopt Kage's attitude while playing survival games and apply it in my life:
"I don't know if it's going to work, not for a damn site, I mean...maybe, well, we'll see...if I go ahead and...nahh, well we never know, we'll see. It just might end up being something, at least it will be something and that's about as much as you can ask from it all. Everything will get better eventually, at some point it will get fixed but, I don't know. It is what it is."

Why not make a door in the stone wall instead of taking it out so if Kelvin gets stuck he can just walk through the door
I wish you could change the difficulty in mid game I would have started on hard if I knew normal mode would be as easy as it is
