  • I've tried running a few dropshipping stores in the past couple of years but I could never get past the point of making 1 or 2 lucky sales. But recently I've heard a lot of talk about how Tik Tok with its organic growth and ads is bring dropshipping back into it's prime like in 2016 and 2017 and I wanted to give a shot.

It's definitely the product. You need a product that actually provides value to the customer and fixes their problems. This product didn't fix any of their problems tho. Also this product would only be used at night time and not the other half of the day. So make sure you find a product that provides value to the customer and fixes their problem or else you will struggle.

not only that but all social media advertising favors the highest bidder and everyone else just gets ghosted whether you are paying or not. Maybe putting it this way will get some to see it for what it is. Take Amazon, for example, billions of people shop there a day but if you run an ad for $20 a day you would think at least one to two hundred thousand would see it. Nope, it's all up to the algorithm and whether or not it thinks your product is worth it or not. And if you run those ads for a week with no sales that algorithm throws up a red flag and says hey no one likes this let's put it on the back burner until someone buys it. So two weeks pass no sales, high click rate costs you hundreds just about to shut ads off when you get a sale. Bam now your traffic triples not necessarily your sales but your click rate costing you even more and giving you hope that now people will start seeing it. But another week goes by and you get a few more sales boosting click rates but still not where you need to be. Very few products or in my case designs go viral, you have to spend consistently over time to generate and if the products suck then well your just wasting time. Just know this is not get-rich-quick biz and takes time to build up any product or design. Unless you are like a lucky few who hit the timing and product perfectly with the backing to go viral then it's a grind. Good luck everyone and be kind out there the world is a tough place already!

and adding to that, I believe the price is also a factor too. The product is cool, but from a consumer point of perspective, I wouldn't spend $20 on a pair of glasses that will probably only be used a few times in a year (likely during party time). I mean, even toy glasses could potentially create similar effect, and it costs like $5 or so. But I get the point, lowering the price will probably make the sell unprofitable. It's really only the problem of the product I guess

Because they do it different that’s what’s the difference between most people doing it. Like for example have a agent so you can make profit easier and reduce prices. Once you have product test the product first with adds on Facebook/TikTok with just a low budget can even be under 20 euro a day. If you have many clicks but nobody buying. Check everything because they for sure are interested otherwise they wouldn’t click. So are there enough payment methods. Looks it thrust worthy. Is price way to high compared to others. Once you do get sales while testing and it all looks good. That’s the time you gonna scale it and dumb in allot more money. 🚀

I've been in the e-commerce industry for about a decade now and what people really seem to forget regarding dropshipping is the customer care part. Especially in the EU where the customer is incredibly well protected, you see a lot of kids try the drop-shipment method. They push out products like it's nothing but when there is even a single issue regarding customer care, everything crumbles. Right-to-return requests are ignored, shipping or repair costs are not calculated into the margin, and contact with clients is almost never a thing. Thus resulting in a lot of dropshippers folding early under either a lot of pressure from tax agencies, debt collectors, and other legal departments. Setting up a webshop can be done within a day, maintaining a healthy webshop can not.

Yep doing e-commerce you should have any business education and most of these dudes dont even know how to do own accounting so how would they know how to sell a product. You can smell a drop ship almost "scam" product from a mile and most of the customers avoid them. For sucess you need to create your own trademark and have good customer contact and support as you said. You can still sell these product but without estabilishing a system that will orbit around only you its pointless.

Ive heard about dropshipping a long time ago but only recently started studying and taking notes from the videos. I plan to make my own website in a month or 2. With a budget of 500/I'll test 5 products) (the idea is to test 5 every month, at some point I'll strike gold). Is it viable ? It's probably not as easy as CZcams makes it seem, but there's average people on reddit saying that they have succeeded and make a lot of money. What are the realistic chances of me being successful ? As in making atleast 10k/month profit.

It is a difference between being average and highly successful. Searching for dropsecrets in the last few months has helped a lot for my business, and now I have about 30 orders per day (with good income) since I update my products weekly, and most of them are really trending.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Your design was on point. Product was cool, but price point was too high. This is a fun and cool item that is usually enjoy with a partner or friends and at $23 a piece, it doesnt make sense. Also, its only heart glasses which seems seasonal to Valentines or durng peak wedding seasons. In addition, you had an original price of $45 which is exponentially higher than what its worth and immediately buyer question the true cost of the product. Instead try offering a discount if multiple items are purchased, ex. 1 for $25, but buy 3 and pay only $69. Also, you only had one product on your site. Most buyers like to browse before checking out, especially if there is an additional shipping fee. Its likely you had some abandoned carts when there were no other products to be found. This got me thinking about who this product really should have been geared towards, and the EDM community popped into mind. Obviously this is just an assumption, but I'd guess that you'd have abit more luck in the two weeks if the ads were focused using the glasses at a rave, even maybe targeting areas with a big scene for EDM festivals. Though regardless of any of that, the shipping times are probably the other big killer. If you made the shipping time info collapsible, you could track how many clickthroughs left after viewing shipping info.

Buy 2 and get the second one for half.... if that half is more than your input, it is extra profit. 3) artificial scarcity a.k.a limited editions... you have your white glasses, black glasses, blue glasses but red ones are the limited edition, only 15 pieces left (make sure the counter resets back to 15 when it hits 0 ) :D

Love the video, and the editing style, definitely more competitive than 2017, but you can still make it work and profitable, you just gotta be obsessed about it and do it all day, basically in everything you want to succeed you need to be OBSESSED with it and focus only on that thing in order to make it work.

Cool Challenge Bro. One thing is for sure though, dropshipping takes time to get results, be careful with this video (to those who are watching). It takes time and resilience, some products will not get you the profit you think it would, there are probably something "wrong" with the product, the ads, or the website. There are a bunch of tools that can help you convert these visits into a purchase. The beginning of dropshipping is all about investing your money until you find a especific niche or product that makes a good sale, and this product usually makes a good sale for some time, not forever. So looking on social medias for products that are booming right now is an excelent strategy, but it doesnt mean that it will be a 100% success rate.

The universal paradigm for successful sales is knowledge. Sell what you know. So instead of sifting for a random product find a set of products that correspond to your existing knowledge base. Both personal use and other sales vehicles. Make knowledge the basis of your sales pitch rather than glamor or novelty. Provide free knowledge as a public service and integrate your products into proven solutions. Assemble functional combinations of products along with intelligible instructions for using them together.

This video was really well made and provided a lot off value.
    I have tried drop-shipping myself 2 times.
It was nothing for me (im working as a publisher and enjoy that part).
It was mainly when all the drop-shipping channels boombed a few years ago.
Naive as i was, i though it would be easy money.
    But no, it's not!
This video shows the reality off drop-shipping.
Don't get me wrong, it's not impossible - but it's way harder than most of the drop-shipping channels displays.
