I think most of that came from B2K's management putting pressure on them to be likeable etc. I notice a lot of artists nowadays are more authentic and "real ". Back then they tried to be really wholesome

I feel like they need to bring back 106 & Park on BET although the Breakfast Club has kind of been that. These R&B/Hip Hop artists don't have much of a platform to promote their music on TV anymore which is why the sales be hella low.
There's been way too many great album & singles from R&B artists that just end up flopping.

RealestGuyInTheRoom this is very true, good analogy; TBC has become the new 106 & Park, but the internet/social media killed our music video countdown shows years ago like around 08-09 & that's when album sales started to really decline. I also knew it was a wrap when MTV got rid of TRL & stopped showing music videos & started showing all those reality & scripted tv shows. There's definitely been a lot of classics from R&B artists in the last 6-7 years

I think him signing to young money afterwards threw his entire shit off in my opinion.

kenblackwood being an artist can be very tumultuous internally. We are very emotional beings and there are many factors that allow us to create. Sometimes the burden to create is super heavy, sometimes the mind-state we have to be in to create isn't healthy. There are a lot of different factors but just boils down to being fragile and emotional.
kenblackwood ...they stop caring because they usually go from heartthrob to irrelevant overnight. Their fanbase grows up and moves on, then their team/label/opportunities goes as well. Then we call them washed up. It causes a mentality as to where they began to question their personal worth.
