Without the UI on, it looks so much better and really shows how much the UI drags down the experience of the game when it is enabled.
the ui is kinda rough 😅 and UX of the UI as well, very console-centric, but the game is beautiful
how do you remove the UI?
Same with Cyberpunk 2077. Been playing through the whole game on Hard with a disabled UI and quest markers. So much more immersive.
*Very Hard. correction.
should've defintiely gone with a less is more approach. The current UI reminds me of some 2010 windows 7 frutiger aero aesthetic 😭
This is rendered IN REAL TIME. It is insane
I must say I am really impressed with the draw distance of grass here, you can see at 0:47 it being rendered and even moving to the wind even far on the horizon when eye can see. Thats impressive.
Draw distance makes a massive difference in graphics, very underrated IMO.
@@tontsar91 yeah, everybody always mentioned how Forza Horizon games managed to be so optimized, but of course that is with drawbacks, like the immense downgrade in grass draw distance over Ultra/Extreme settings :/
I was jawdropped just like this when I saw RDR2 grass draw distance 5 years ago. Its really important feature for graphics.
@@FurkanSakoglu Exactly, nothing breaks the immersion more, then objects, NPCs poping in right in your face, and grass and foliage growing from the ground 20meters from you. Draw distance and lighting/shadows, thats what makes games phenomenal visualy.
@@silentgaming2487 exactly
Insane visuals, if only they dared to think outside of the box just a bit and evolve their game design.
what are you talking about???? What's "wrong" with the "game design?"
@@Joachim.Jacobs they were just saying they wanted something a bit new instead of the standard "farcry" missions
@@jipidydoothey can still do it tbh the base layer is here
Yeah, the game design is garbage. So repetitive and gets boring really quickly. Still the old tired farcry-like gameplay with braindead AI.
What do you recommend otherwise then?@@michaelzomsuv3631
I wish a super solid RPG would come out and utilize environments like this. Without being completely swamped with maps and objective arrows/ notifications. I guess Fromsoft are the only ones brazen enough to attempt such a thing. But there is something to be said about the slow/ atmospheric exploration of stuff like Skyrim, while not always dealing with the stressful combat around every turn like in Elden Ring. Need a good mix of the two with next gen graphics! Is that so much to ask?!
Develop it.
Tf are you taking about, this game has none of that
Devil May Cry/Bayonetta gameplay and player/monster animations, skyrim pacing, elden ring itemization, avatar visuals, minimalist UI, massive open world
💯
The Witcher 3 has sorta pulled that off besides alien enviroments. Play it on a good PC, turn the difficulty up and enjoy.
bro just play this game and wait until you reach the last region full of Skyrim vibes there with rivers, tall trees & mountains it's Tamriel all over again you're gonna love it
I love how foliage and trees sway in the wind in this game, like you can see where the flow of wind is happening, vs. most games where foliage and trees just kind of flap around.
that was a really great idea to ad the trailer music to it. so beautiful
I wish they would release a version of the game without guns/human things.
Just exploration of that world and housing.
We could have mounts and gather food.
A chill, beautiful game.
That sounds about as fun as watching paint dry.
Please let me play as human colonizer

Nice touch adding the trailer music haha ! Really capture dem feels ~

if Avatar is anything to go by, it will be stunning
Star Wars Outlaws!!! 🙏🏼🤩🤩🤩
And well get two dlcs for avatar frontiers of pandora next year
Massive catapults to Nr. 1 studios worldwide besides Rockstar, sony productions and cdpr.
maybe it will finally look like the very first fake trailer from 2013
@@arezz9706 tbh the second game does already look better than that trailer for the first game.
It's actually sad that so many people think this is another Far Cry game. Fact is this is an open world game and is pretty damn unique since it has a lot of mechanics that are different from other games and especially Far Cry, namely the crafting, cooking and ingredient collections systems. The Hunter's guide as well as the detailed and rich world with the insane amount of fan service for fans of Avatar, are all a treat. This is a lot more like Crysis 3 in terms of both visuals and gameplay than Far Cry. The bases are a lot larger and require a different approach. The Ikran and mount travel systems are amazing and a sight to behold. The verticality of the parkour is insane too. The story is actually interesting and there are so many characters and so many unique locations and it's not all just the same area copy pasted all over the map. If people learn to use their braincells, get off the hate bandwagons and actually play the game before making assumptions or regurgitating other people's opinions, then they'd have a much better time with the game. It's also the most visually stunning game I've EVER played and I own a 4080 and have played Cyberpunk with Path Tracing and other latest titles that are visual extravaganzas, so that's saying something.
not bad Graphics are useless if the Game itself are shit.
@@DeadCry1000 Thanks for letting us see a prime example of the kind of people I was talking about.
@@SciAntGaming i didn't say that the game is just another FarCry! Totally different Games. FarCry 6 is a real Masterpiece against Avatar.
damn I didnt know they've implemented the skylands into this game, makes me wanna explore them so bad
Somehow I overlooked this game, but after this video I'm having second thoughts.
Brilliantly presented. Bravo!
I almost slept on this game too and I've been in the language community for about a half a decade. What got me to preorder was hearing how good the spoken na'vi is, and I have been having a blast because the visuals of this game are truly unreal. This game really is on a whole other level, especially if you have the computer to really push the graphics. I don't know if it's just how beautiful this game is at every angle, but I'm surprised to say photo mode has been just as entertaining as the gameplay. I'm usually not one to be constantly taking pictures in games, it's really brought out the photographer blood in me.
it is a polished turd. if you want nice visuals then go for it, if you want a decent game probably give it a miss. that's the consensus from honest reviews i've seen
Look at user score rather than video game "journalism" @@hashisgod
It's not worth it. Sure, it's "pretty", but the world is so uninspired, the story cliché, the dialogue cringe as hell, the quest design boring...
@@hashisgod Well here let me break the monotony of the regurgitated word vomit out there; My honest opinion is that it's been one of the better stories I have seen out of videogames in a while. Everything else I've been playing is so mind-numbingly boring, I almost stopped playing games because of it.
Real curious if these people just bum rushed through the game shooting their gun at anything that moves, that seems to be the common person I see saying this game sucks. No thoughts, head empty, only gun go pew pew. Probably would be better off in a Call of Duty game or something lol
man i wish they'd made VR an option in this game, it'd have been a perfect fit.
It prob will be in the coming years(mods)
I’m sure Vorpx works with it.
Up to 21go of VRAM!!!! OMG ^__________^
Thank you for sharing the footage! Because i can't afford a 16go card to begin with.
More realistic wind effects are needed in a lot of games. They always seem to make the vegetation sway back and forth it seems like approx 2 times per second with all the stems , leaves, grass moving in every direction. More single direction wind is all they need to do 95% of the time.
it looks like a moving carpet and only for a subset of bushes, grasses. Some flowers remain still while the carpet is oscillating like a metronome, kinda weird.
Holy shit, level design is crazy. How can people create this. Just amazing
I was thrilled with this!
Looks stunning.
Is there a noticeable difference between ultra and unobtainium ?
man its good, but cyberpunk on the 4090 with pathracing is also insane
This is insane. Wow.
Imagine a The Elder Scrolls at this level of graphics
Almost 2 years ago I remember reading somwhere that an insider knew Rosckstar Games and Massive Entertainment were working on their respective proprietary game engines to compete against UE5 and also that Massive was working on a new Star Wars game and ever since I've been expecting Rockstar and Massive to release new games built on these engines, now It turned out to be totally true. GTA6 is looking stunning already and Massive Entertainment just released this game and is working on Star Wars Outlaws (I was expecting a "The Mandalorian" game like AC Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla)
Please tell me that im not the only one who:
1) Put this video audio on mute
2) opened another youtube tab with the "I see you" music from Avatar movie
3) Came back to this video
4) Total pure astonishing visuals with a marvelous music in the background
-Like this comment so more people can enjoy this wonderful video in the same way as i did.
Sadly I can't use different music due to copyright. Would be amazing
@@DigitalDreamsyt Oh, of course man, i completely understand. But thanks for agreeing with my pov. Awesome video ;)
ooof, this is stunning.
This game is worth the $14.99 Ubisoft+ subscription - it's definitely a showpiece even on lesser Nvidia cards. I was surprised to be able to crank just about everything at 1440p with my 6gb 3060 laptop.
This is like Skyrim in Ubisoft format. Absolutely stunning vistas.
Picked up Avatar Frontiers of Pandora on PS5 and man the graphics are absolutely stunning! It’s the first game since Horizon Forbidden West that has blown me, the world of Pandora is so lush, the natural environment, lighting is top notch. Flying around on the Ikran is a treat, Far Cry Primal is one of my all time favorite games and Avatar Frontiers of Pandora captures the vibe of that game perfectly. 😊
There is no reason why they couldn't of done this without the UI.
Ammo count on guns, beads on arms indicating health, and gusts of wind or those white things to guide you to quests.
Still completely playable without the UI and "flares". You can hear your objectives while focusing. Health and ammo - you don't really need any indicators for that ;)
Did you even play the game? You can do that almost every game and I mean hiding the UI.
that would have been too much of a risk. When trying to appeal to a mass demographic the design process becomes corporate. The UI of this game would have been designed in the safest way, and in a fashion that's easy to digest for the common moron. Take design risks and you risk alienating people and losing money.
@@Odex-dd3dy that's an accurate assessment. But I would add that the UI here is still minimum compared to that of some of the favourite UI designs such as rdr2, elden ring, botw/totk and so on.
Ubisoft cannot think outside of the box.
1:06 those dissapperaing birds are part of the game? Or is that glitchy state what I have to expect for that price?
What music did you use? Its really good.
Beautiful
Awesome!
finally there are no sudden/fast movements in this video, the author is making progress
Awesome
OMG! It's insane!!!
Man, what I'd give to live in a world like that... Just you, your house there and spectacular alien views each day. Paradise.
yes just skip if youre uncomfortable w them, twitter usually 'spoiler' that kind of content though
Amazing
Which mode with unobtained settings? I have FPS downs to 40 FPS in the tundra with the horses with DLSS Quality (in normal ultra mode). When I use FSR UQ + FMF it is ok. I have the Phantom 4090 + 5800X3D.
Lol i have 90 fps on ultra dlss on Quality and 130 with FSR+FG 4080 and i7 13k
@@hammer5229 In ultra 4K DLSS Quality I have normaly around 90-120 FPS. In this area (tundra) it goes down in any sections. I see in videos that the 4080 has 60-80 FPS with DLSS Q.
Open Ubisoft and right click properties on the game and input
-unlockmaxsettings
fyi this video is bs. lol I've played with Unobtanium settings before 4K FSR frame gen never gets to 100 FPS. It hovers around 45-70 maybe 80 in some areas if lucky. His GPU usage gives it away lol its not even at 99%. If you max out all the settings the GPU is working overtime lol mine stays at 99% pretty much 99% of the time. This video is most likely played in 4K Ultra Not UnobtaniumI I guarantee you. Hes also probably running this with Fixed scaling on Quality not Ultra Quality which is not "max Settings" as he stated.
Imagine this in VR😮
That’s actually insane
The visuals are so good that i can pay for the game just to travel and explore this world.
I bought it just to use the photo mode. The mode could be better, but it is so worth it! The gameplay design and loops are just lazy, though.
AC Oddyssey open world was incredible and soo stunning but in the end it just left such a bad taste in my mouth because of how BAD the story (and missions) and ending were ... 🤮👎 just SHIT.
It's sooooooo beautiful some things they need to improve is rock textures and water
I've got the game maxed out on a 7900 XTX. This game is stunning. I've seen it use up to 18.5 GB of VRAM! Crazy
What song is playing at the start of the video?
it's like exploring the movie in VR.
Wow dis beautiful.
The visuals are amazing, some of the gameplay is good, game mechanics are really, well, not necessarily bad, but definitely lazy! This game deserves a better photo mode. IceDrop really shines here!
The way the grass move is hilarious
at 5:00 omfg look awesome, nice vid bud!
Did they updated they Ikran animation or mechanics? Because this look alot smoother than all other Flying videos
Hmm should be the same, maybe they had low fps?
Ikran flights are suoersmooth way less pop ins than horizoon forbidden west. Its a marvel cause thats no full nanite production!
@@DigitalDreamsyt No i've just checked again and you were using boosted speed lol thats why the other vids look janky
@@sirgareth5283 Indeed this game is a marvel of visual Massive really outdone it with this release
Overall impressive. Very dense foliage. Very vibrant. Here and there things pop out of existence. I think with an 4090, that should not be an issue anymore. But other than that it looks really amazing
He's already using RTX 4090. It's settings (there are not higher, but maybe mods will allow ultraunobtanium ;) ) or engine thing, not the GPU.
Yes. He already using it. No shit? And there are still those glitches. My point: It´s should NOT happen with a 4090 but unfortunately is does. We are talking about a 2000 Dollar GPU@@mackobogdaniec2699
@@mackobogdaniec2699 i think he meant that with power of 4090 and 24gb vram there shouldnt be issues with lod. And he is right there are old games that was running on much weaker hardware and had good lod system.
@@erisium6988 Yeah, you're probably right about what he meant. I'm not sure about 2nd part. In some cases this game has really impressive LOD (visible grass affected by wind in the very long range). They could probably optimize it better, but with so many objects I don't think it's an easy task. Also I;m not sure they are optimizing it specifically for 4090.
Vegetation suffers from adhd just like in games published 10 years ago. Also games published 10 years ago were not full of enclosed places like this offal of a game.
Yeah this might be the best looking game ever made
Not because of graphical fidelity though. It's more the artstyle, world design, vegetation design.
I’d give that title to a game like Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West.
I've never played the Horizon Zero Dawn games and I haven't seen that much footage of either games so I honestly don't know@@matthewwilliams3827
@@matthewwilliams3827you’re fairly blind
It's reeeeal close. As a game Forbidden West is probably better overall, for sure.
Is the GPU only using 2GB of vram or there is something wrong?
these plants so cool
This music is frickin beautiful
kinda feel same vibe as Horizon Forbidden West
great video :)
glad to see a game that just says "screw it this is how good it could look without limits" I want more of that even if I will probably never have the PC for it myself
This looks so nice! If i'm right, this engine is probably gonna use it for the next Far Cry game since it looks similar with gameplay and open world. Horizon 2 on PS5 was visually stunning too.
Just imagining what this would be like in VR ; )
insane
The only part that bothers me is the 7:25 mark where the horse bumps at the obstacles without physics collision whatsoever.
Good video
What is the name of background music and is the game really hardware demanding? I guess cause it uses almost 20gb vram in your video
Music is form avatar 2 trailer
GREAT
I think now that we have light handled, we'll start working of fluid physics; water and wind.
can we immerse into the game or does every NPC feels dead?
I'll wait for the RTX 6060 to come out before playing that game 😱
I'm torn. While some things like the lighting in dense forests look really good to me, others like waterfalls or clouds look mediocre at best. I also feel like less wind would be way more immersive. So I'd have to disagree with "best visuals in 2023", for me that title clearly goes to Phantom Liberty.
I think we should applaud Ubisoft for finally delivering a game without a graphical downgrade.
It still had a huge downgrad sadly.
@@DigitalDreamsytbro how
what's going on with your gpu? Seen sometimes the temps go to 98 degrees...
Can't believe the best visuals would ever go to a Ubisoft game. Looks so good.
why is that? they used to make beautiful games. Assassin's Creed was mindblowing when it came out
@@wrcz Assassins creed Origins also had an amazing world and graphics. It's the gameplay that sucks
@@wrcz They used to make beautiful game worlds, but in an overall term. In fact, in terms of lighting, details, textures etc, they were a bit behind to those top graphics games. But this one really looks top.
@@waynewm9112 Unity was very good looking on release same as origin, sadly we see same engine with same problems in all new ubisoft games.
@@PatG-xd8qn The amount of work on Origins is still top tier even for today´s standards
OBS and Adobe Premier can do wonders for 40-50fps
Eh, Horizon Forbidden West still looks much better and they're both a pretty apples to apples graphical comparison given how similar the environments are. The Burning Shores dlc in particular blows this out of the water.
This is impressive.
4:40 I heard “ get on and ride like a zest lord” 😂😂😂
I really dig the music
As impressive the world looks the physics and interaction still needs to catch up
Trees and plants without collision and character just passes through it 5:42
Exactly. Far cry 2 had this, why tf can't they do it now?
It's in there just not with all things it needs some work
@@ToGrimmToWin Yeah its def in there because just a few seconds after that timestamp you can see it working. The reality is this game has FAR more foliage on screen then any other game to date and making sure every little piece has that type of interaction would likely just not run on current hardware.
In addition to what the person above me said. The amount of times some weird collision happens because your character gets stuck in a wedge will be more immersion breaking and on top of that, annoying. It's still a video game so it has to be fun.
foliage is usually drawn on the GPU to save CPU cycles which means it doesn't actualy exist in the interactable world. Collisions on objects such as these are done via either suboptimal shader settings or there are low resolution versions of objects as invisible collision meshes, but that is still kind of expensive for this many plants to calculate in real time.
Your character seldom interacts with visual foliage in any game. Only big objects are worth the resources to "be there".
Okay its really impressive and the world of Pandora looks amazing inengine and I personally love this. But to me this is at least only on second place. Take a look at Alan Wake 2! The path tracing abilitys makes this title to the absolute winner this year. Not even this - this Game features so many visuals and two weeks ago we got totally blown away by the game!
You mean the linear game with tiny levels and static global illumination. Yeah, it might have the 1% graphical precision that lacks in open world games.
Mhh not really. They could implement for example pathtracing even its open world. Has nothing To-Do with that. Sure you have those skripted setting in alan wake, but this is not really lifting the game in graphics but only in experiencing the Story.
The creator simply said avatar is the visual best game in 2023... And this is not true in my opinion.
I would say best looking is Alan wake then cyberpunk 2.1 (world design and big city helps to make RT pop only low res textures are bad but u can use mods) and then its this game it looks good but mainly thanks to the foliage and textures, lightning looks mid after u played those two games maybe with HDR it would look better idk.
Are you kidding bro?allan wake is nothing compared to this

This has to be with fsr and frame generation as the 4090 can't average 4k 60FPS, and that's without enabling the unobtanium mode.
This game absolutely hammers my 4090 at 3440x1440p with DLSS set to quality, and that's not even at in-game max settings.
