Can you use a regular dslr camera or a point and shoot?
No dslr. You can use an iPhone 11, 12, the new iPad Air, an iPad pro with an ultra-wide camera. But also a GoPro 7 Black or 8 Black.

We recommend the iPhone 11 and 12 for recording videos. The iPad Pro 12.9 (any generation) can be used for sharing.
How do you get the front camera (facing you when using apps) to ultra wide or to zoon out to full screen? It is too close to peoples faces and I don't want to extend the arm too far back

Yes, that is correct. You can add an mp4 video background to the boomerang, video and slomos with a green screen and use remove.bg background removal for the photos.
Can you use Android phones with this as well?

You can start and stop it with the remote that came with the 360

Hi Dan, it's a custom build. It's not a bracket you can buy, unfortunately.
Is there a possibility to configure touchpix to use the TV in Portrait? I imagine that by configuring touchpix to record in 16:9 and using the monitor vertically, you can get much more out of it
Not at the moment. We are working on a solution for that though.
Do you need a lap top all the time to set up the QR code for the iPad and what gen does it have to be?

Does Touchpix have a trial subscription for someone to test all of it's features before purchasing an actual subscription?
Hi, does The Touchpix Software allow the automatic arm to spin without having to use the on/off remote? I feel like once I hit the play button the arm should start and stop according to the settings. Otherwise what’s the point… what makes it better then the other softwares? Which 360 booth is compatible with your software to make it automatically spin???

As a beginner I would recommend to just use the iPhone 11 or iPhone 12. Everything else is extra. You can record a video from the iPhone and share right after the recording using email, sms, QR code and Airdrop.

Do u have to have an Apple TV? Can the mirror screening be done on an iPad too? Like if the event is in a smaller space….
I don't believe it's possible to natively mirror the screen of an iPhone to an iPad. But please let us know if you have found a way to do that.

Set the quality of the videos to UHQ in the app settings. That will increase the video quality.
Hey I have a question ? With purchasing the 360 photo spinner they have a software option that you can purchase as well. Can I opt out of purchasing their software, and will this software work just as good ?
Yes, you can choose to use Touchpix instead of the software that comes with your 360 spinner. It will work just as well, and is much easier to use.
What if I have two events same day can I use the same app, but on different phone?

You need the Apple TV box if you want to mirror the screen to the TV. Using the TV is not required for the app to work though.

Can i use an ipad to record as well or do I have to use an iPhone?
iPad have limited options for slow motion compared to iPhones. We recommend to use a recent iPhone. However, you can use an iPad to control a GoPro. We do recommend to have an iPad with data though.
with the iphone, is a data plan necessary? also do you recommend having a router for wifi or is using a mobile hotspot good enough?
I recommend to use a hotspot device (4g/LTE router) and to connect the iPhone to that. Or use our brand new Scanpix 2 system for that. What numbers are set in this video to get the boomerang to be slow like it is?
Slomo duration is set to 3.5. And the Slomo speed is set to 120fps 1920x1080 in the camera settings of the app.

You can use the motion trigger for that. However, for a manual spinner I recommend to start it with a button, because you don't want to start it incidentally when you move the arm a little bit.

Hey, could I use a roku tv if I have one available instead of the Apple TV 4k to mirror my device to the TV?
We recommend using the Apple TV box, since the Roku only works when it's connected to the internet and is less reliable because it works via a router. The Apple TV box can be connected directly to the iPhone.

Good question. You can share right from the Touchpix app on the iPhone after you do the recording. No TV needed. You can send the file using email, text message, QR code, Airdrop. The don't see the sharing options in this video, because the screen is mirrored to the TV. If it's not mirrored, you will see the sharing options.

I'm attempting to do a couple practice runs with the touchpix but every time I try to create a new event it's says event not recognized. How do I close an event to start a new one? I went to manage events and deleted all the previous events and still can't create a new one.

How can you add music for on the app for an event?
If you want to add the audio file from your computer, go to Touchpix.com / My account / Events / Tap on the manage icon next to your event / Tap on the edit icons / In the general section you will see the option to add the audio file. Make sure you add an mp3 file.
If you want to add the audio file from your Phone, use the ‘audio’ effect in settings / video effects creator / select the function you like / Add the ‘audio’ effect / Tap on it and add the file.
What about the music from the event… like just the background if it’s a party? Can that sound be added?
@@kimaric.8089 No, that is not possible. The reason is that if you use Slow Motion video, the audio also slows down. If you were to record the audio of the event like that, the voices and music will sounds will sound distorted on the end result.
How do I get the QR code’s to come across the bottom of my tv screen?
Make sure that the iPhone is connected to internet. If you use the preset '(Non)Motorized spinner tv session' on this page (touchpix.com/event-from-preset/), QR codes should be enabled in the event.
What generation Apple TV device is compatible for mirroring?

After I create a custom overlay for the event, when I scan the QR code and test everything out the overlay does NOT show. Why is that?
Hi Kyle, make sure to refresh the event. On the iPhone, tap on the menu icon in the upper left corner and tap 'Refresh event'.

How do you use a DSLR camera for a 360 photo booth?
DSLR cameras are generally not that good in creating full HD slow motion videos. That's why the GoPro or the iPhone is a better choice.
How do I edit the text, to type in what I want it to say?
In the designer click on the Text section on the left side, click on Large text to add the text to the canvas, and double click the text in the Canvas to edit that text.

No need for a TV. You can do it without a TV just using the phone.

You only have to use the laptop before the event. You can create a QR code that you can scan with the app. After that, you don't need internet anymore to do the event.

@@Bajanboii4 Yes, that works. But we recommend to use an iPhone 11 or iPhone 12 to record the videos. Those devices have the popular 120fps second recording option. You can use the iPad to share the files. You need internet on the iPad to make that work.

No, it can be used with the same settings. You can also use a trigger box to connect your motorized spinner to the Touchpix app.

I subscribed for a week to do tests, i am using a 360 motorized spinning, i connected my gopro 7 to the app via ipad, but i cannot access the internet at the same time i am connected to gopro, so I cannot send via email or sms or qr code, also i can't mirror the app with the gopro camera, even if it's connected the app uses the ipad camera, but if I don't mirror it uses the gopro. how am I supposed to have internet access at the same time I use gopro. I also bought the Sparkles, Light Leaks, Confetti package, but I don't know where it was. i only paid but i didn't have the option to download, i'm using macbook
You can only access the internet if you have a data plan on your iPad or if you are using an iPhone. Touchpix is not fully compatible with the Macbook yet, that's why not everything is working that smooth.

@@leylahs896 I recommend to use the iPhone 11 because of the ultra wide lens. You need the ultra wide lens to fit all the guests on the platform in the frame and to reduce shaking.

Hey I have an iPhone Xr, will it still work?
We don't recommend an iPhone XR, because it does not have an ultra-wide lens. The ultra-wide lens is going to give you much smoother videos (if the arm shakes, it's not going to be that visible). And because the phone is also close to the people on the platform, you need the wide-angle to fit them in the video. We recommend using the iPhone 11 (Pro Max) or the iPhone 12 (Pro Max).
Also is there a reason in my outro video, only half of the video is being shown? like the entire right side is cut off.
The video dimensions need to be the same as the template, if you want it to fit correctly. Here are the sizes of the templates: Template 1 portrait - 1072 x 1440px
Template 2 square - 1072 x 1072px
Template 3 landscape - 1440 x 1072px
Template 4 landscape long - 1920 x 1072px
Template 5 portrait long- 1072 x 1920px

I used my iPad for an event. My iPad doesn’t have a data plan but yet uses WiFi. I was on WiFi during the event but none of my photos sent or seem to upload. I am now on better WiFi and trying to send out my queue but the status has said uploading pictures for a while and sms pending is the entire queue. Every time I press send sms, the status reads stopped. How do I know that the pictures are actually being sent and uploaded? Also, can I send the queue from my iPhone even though I took the videos on my iPad?

Why is it when the overlay and everything else is being applied the video doesn’t come out good quality at all ?
Hi Khamarly, if you want to improve the output quality, set the video quality to HQ or UHQ in the settings. Keep in mind that you need a fast upload speed to share those files on the spot.

We are a business of three people that will be providing 360 photo booth event services. Are we able to use our one subscription with Touch Pix to create events using our own separate devices (computer, iphone and/or ipad)? In essence, can that one Touch Pix (QR) license be shared with the three of us when creating separate events using our own phones and computers and sharing the one ipad for the staging station? (I believe Google Drive will help us in some ways) Hopeful, we don't have to purchase three licenses for our one business. Hope I'm clear with my question, and hopefully, you can remedy our anxious concerns.
If the devices are using the same App Store account, that is possible. However, you could also consider using the Touchpix.com subscriptions. That way you can activate events on an unlimited number of devices with different Apple accounts. These subscriptions should also be used by one company only. It's not allowed to share subscriptions with other companies.

Where can I get the tv and tv stand from?
Amazon, search for 'TV floor stand'. If you purchase a TV, make sure that it's at least 40 inches or bigger. That will allow the guests to scan the QR codes from the screen more easily.

how do you take the audio off a touchpix video
Go to Touchpix.com / My account / Events / Manage icon / Edit icon / Look for the Function section and remove the audio file. Submit the form on the bottom of the page. Go to the app, tap on the menu icon and tap Refresh event.
How to I retrieve the link to send out the clips?
Go to Touchpix.com / My account / Events / Gallery icon / Public URL. Is that what you are referring to?
I deleted QR code before I closed it out. How can I close without QR code?
Then you can't close the event like you usually could. You can delete and reinstall the app to get back to the home screen to be able to start a new event.
