In one of my last video I made the case that we are on the verge of a second renaissance, with many parallels to the last renaissance. So it begs the question - how do you crush it during that time. Like Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Copernicus, Galilei, the Medicis and others did back then. How do you have an impact on the world and create a great life for yourself? That’s what this video is about. Creating the modern day or digital Renaissance Man.

Hope you enjoy this one! One thing I forgot to mention is that my obsession with Bitcoin came with this exact generalistic, multi-disciplinary approach. There are few things more interesting to look at holistically than Bitcoin. Networks, cryptography, economics, money, psychology, freedom and so much more bundled into one!

Theoretical CS (computational complexity, automata, lambda calculus, …) and the math you are faced with are very overwhelming at first, but totally doable if you actually put in the time and effort to try to understand it. This is a lesson you can take to coding in general. It‘s problem solving, stick with problems long enough without giving up and are very likely to solve them.

It‘s wild how many people have been saying this. To me this was a really average video, absolutely nothing special. It somehow ended up being my most succesful one and a lot of people really resonate with it. Glad about that and glad you like it!

@@tillmusshoff I remembered a quote from a book which goes like "meaning of life is all about finding the meaning of life" and this video kinda solidified the meaning which I can live my life for on the bases of people's desire and their traits you showed in this video. Feels like I can be one of them with some effort too.
Thanks for making video and the CZcams algorithm which recommended me this lol ❤️

I like your videos and agree with what you say. One thing I would add though as someone who likes both coding and physical engineering, I believe that although software is important, it's not going to solve many of the issues that we will face in the future. We need good hardware engineers to solve our food, energy and health problems. I think it's equally as important to get people excited about hardware as much as software

I’ve always been curious about everything and I would consider myself a jack of all trades. One thing I noticed is that school and work drain that ability away from me. Causing me intellectual fatigue.
Covid was a blessing for me because when I lost my job, I was curious about everything and began to read/learn more than I have in my life. I still needed to pay the bills so I had to get a job and I can feel myself lose that curiosity.
I’m making it a life goal of mine to build up the experience to be a freelance software developer so that I can work whenever I wanted and how long I wanted. Instead of working traditional 9-5 hours where, personally, my work efficiency goes down hill after 4 hours causing the rest to waste time.
