Ride Tasmania and Victoria's High Country with motorcycle adventurer Charley Boorman

- Hey there,
Motorcyclist & adventurer Charley Boorman leads this Australia Motorcycle Tour of stunning Tasmania and the Victoria Highcountry. Charley’s good mate and manager Billy Ward will be along to add to the experience. The adventure starts with an overnight ferry crossing from Melbourne to Tasmania. Once in Tasmania we ride east toward the spectacular Freycinet National Park and Coles Bay. Riding south we will reach the historical Port Arthur before visiting Hobart and then continuing on through the pristine forests of the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park on our way to the stunning Strahan. Crossing the Tasman back into Victoria the ride ventures into the Victorian High Country entering Kosciusko National Park in NSW before riding down onto the coast and riding north finishing in Sydney.

Charley! A family friend gave me the DVD's of the LWR series when I was 13, and I became obsessed with bikes (nobody in my family or anyone I knew had one). I used to plan all these trips around NZ for when I would finally get a bike. Fast forward a few years and a couple tens of thousands of km's, I've travelled NZ solo on my twin F650GS and now I'm in Melbourne and exploring Aus on a Tiger 800XC. Colouring in the roads on my world atlas as I go, always aiming for new roads so I can fill the map.
I loved the series, also By Any Means and Dakar I've watched a few times! Will there be a portion of your trip for civilians to join in Melbourne? It would be incredible to meet you and come full circle, I'll wear my Long Way Up merch lol. I have achieved my dream trips on my dream bike, I owe it to you man. Thanks, and hope to see you in Naarm!
Wow, that is such a lovely message to read. I feel very humbled by your enthusiasm and getting out there and riding your motorcycle. Would love to hook up if you’re still in Australia.
