Now this is creative what a sweet color scheme so funny most of my builds in some way have the black,red,and white in them.But you really made that truck shine,it totally turned it into a Toyota 4Runner very nice work brothrman.

wishing WPL would make a "crawler transmission", heavier duty drive shafts and axles, and a body lift (just 3/8") plus long suspension travel (1/4" more) shock set. they'd be nice "upgrade parts", transmission outputs about 1/4" lower so U-joints aren't quite as kinked, and ratio about twice as low. LOVE how they look, but I tend to think they heard "needs more torque" and mistook it for "needs more power" (which can break stuff!). Gabriel Silvaz and others are doing good things with a pair of geared N20 motors, about 300 RPM rated 12v runs good on 7.4v 2S, but I feel WPL should handle all of the above. now after all that....

IF the company and distributors got these ideas and acted on them, the products would lean more towards "hobby grade" than "scale toy" (and darn their details are so nice). if the upgrade kits were made available, I'm sure many would buy them and quickly. I've seen how they can crawl and climb with a pair of geared N20 motors, and have one on it's way.
model nutty metal shaft and tranny are already in the market. Now I am waiting for oil shocks :)
Paradise yep, just saying if WPL did it themselves their popularity and sales could increase. 10-15% larger diameter drive shafts, U-joints, and axle gears isn't going to hurt the scale appearance, it'd just make all those parts a bit more solid. a "toy grade" 130 motor or lower RPM rated FK-130SH is plenty of power, if it's geared down to deliver crawling torque, is a re-visit to the trans casing for 1 more reduction gear in it.
I'm definitely going to make a center for the N20 motors, wrap the U-joints "ears" with black sewing thread and CA to help prevent spreading/snapping, seating bevel gear bushings with thick rubber cement etc to get a good gear mesh... all the little tips I've seen or thought of for being interested watching videos about these and other crawlers. some simple tips for 1/24 Redcat Sumo been really good!
got couple AAA size lithium ion cells on the way for wiring 2S in the Sumo, also plan using pair of 14500's for this Toyota, they're not going to pull current so hard they need LiPo fed.
WPL is doing it themselves. They have the n20 motor setup and a 2 speed transmission. As well as a metal upgrade kit for the axles and driveline.
