Its a crime that this band only draws a crowd this size. I would consider myself honored to be in the presence of true musical genius if I was able to see them live.

To play bass for Archspire you must 1. Have amazing hair 2. Have a power stance unmatched by anyone in the band 3. Look fabulous while head banging 4. Have inhuman bass playing abilities
One of the best album ever. Insane masterpiece.
That bass hit at 1:30 is unreal. The groove they fall into is almost Pantera, it's so in the pocket.

Relentless Mutation just may be the best death metal album of all time. I'm old and watched the birth of the genre. Archspire is next level. This is a fantastic live video. Props Dr. Light you got a new sub.

I second this. It came a long way until bands like Dying Fetus, Origin, Born of Osiris and others, started stepping up. This is the next level. Also, at some point I started believing the drummer (Spencer Prewett) was a robot. I am still not convinced he isn't.
honestly the only death metal I can listen. It's not my stuff obviously, mainly listening to periphery, veil of maya, and monuments. but this album is damn fun, I love how it mixed

they definitely have been influenced by classic music but this composition imo is based on a baroque style. I mean it’s closer to Bach and Vivaldi style then to Mozart’s (classical). And this is the reason I found that song absolutely astonishing. Although you are right, Requiem is more closer to baroque then all other mozart’s compositions.
Subbed my friend ;) I've been searching for quite some time for an accurate representation of a live "bass drop/808 drop" which represents (as best it can through a video while wearing over ear headphones) the sheer pressure/power they let out. I'm still searching live footage and have not found that one good clip yet but maybe this is the channel where I'll find it! Your videos sound very good.

Finally found that "one" video that accurately represents the power of specifically bass drops. (Don't miss the one at 1 35 !!!) ... I've been looking through vids of bands that I know use drops live here and there for the past ~6 months, was determined as mentioned above to find the right vid haha.

@@Celatra there is no way you are being serious. When you do exhales you breathe in before each delivery, with inhales you breathe out before each delivery. You dont breathe out before doing exhales that would be counterintuitive.
I love how spencer can both obliterate the drum kick and make drummer faces that can only be described as an asthmatic 70 year old walking down a flight of stairs a little too quickly. I guess playing drums in Archspire does that to ya! :D
I love how the drummer does the blast beats free handed as opposed to using the gravity blast technique.
Because he isn't doing gravity blasts in this song. Blast beats and gravity blasts are two separate things
