please excuse my typing, as i have a broken wrist. just wanted to say how much i like queen margrethe. i never heard much about her until recently, with the title problem over her grandchildren. she seems very kind so it must have been hard for her in changing things up with the titles. the last people any grandparent would want to hurt are any of the grandkids for any reason. it was a hard decision for her, i am sure, but duty to the throne has to be her first priority. may god be with her, and the grandkids grow to understand. thank you for sharing. it was nice to know a little more about her.

I wish Denmark would revive their coronation ceremonies...
I suprised they did not change the jubliee too another day. Seeing that queen elizibeth had died. I think out of respect , she could have put it another day.
They already pushed back the celebrations once. I guess pushing it back again (at the last minute) would cause much trouble to other people involved, organizers, booked performers, invited guests etc. Not to mention, there will be huge cancellation fees too for booked venues, catering, artists and stuff. It is not easy to suddenly cancel a big organized event. They did scale down the celebrations out of respect.
I think the Danish Monarch have already shown much more respect than was ever shown the other way around.
The 50 year jubilee have been cut down to only be official state affairs and no public celebration. Which means we Danes can't celebrate our beloved queen, because a monarch that could not care less about the Danish monarchy, Denmark or Danes. And did not even bother about sending a public congratulation to our Queen this Januray.
I am sorry but why should we show more respect than we already have to a nation of people that can't even tell the difference between the Danish and Dutch royals. Not to forget how they invite our Crown Princess and then un-invite her.... Please if anyone should show more respect, it is not us.
She did cancel some events and she did attend the funeral in England.
They already have change the date one time.
She asked all attends of her jubliee to hold a 1 min of silence to respect her long time friend and family member queen Elizabeths
