The method in this video is what I have heard from multiple Chinese people living in mainland China, I would go with this :)

The ri part of birthday is difficult. Can you elaborate?

Jason Axford try rolling your tongue upwards and making a “rir” sound that should be easier to pronounce, you can also add a note of “j” to the first r

Lift your left leg, pinch your nose, hold an octopus still alive and... You know what, say happy birthday and they'll understand!

Think at first like 'gentle' with the tongue right behind your teeth, then drop it way down below your gumline for the sound. Think 'gir', but only use the r for shape at the very end without the 'r' sound.

Ri was hard for me too. The trick yoyochinese teaches is use the word pleasure to help you. The ending part sure is how ri sounds. Almost like a z sound added into the sure

Yoyo Chinese has a whole pinyin chart with audio and videos to explain and uses English words that most represent the sound to help you get it. It did wonders for me. I highly recommend her from the yoyochinese website.
