Just watched Absolution. Please do that one next!! There is so FEW scenes with Steven Segal!! The ones he is in are your typical slow moving, slap fighting that he's "famous" for. His partner in crime (Chi) made the movie somewhat bearable to watch.

So in all of his movies he is never hurt, scratched, wounded? He is never captured and pays no price for his murderous rampages. He never takes a blow or is physically challenged. No character arc or anything to overcome. He just walks around waving his arms at people and shooting at crowds. Everyone loves or fears him. He really is a legend in his own mind.

Pete was the real star of this film. Blud killed everyone he met, died at least 6 times and still made it to the end. Pete also sneaks around being completely stealthy, but forgets he's smoking and people can definitely smell that.

I watched this yesterday. I felt like I was drunk or something because nothing was making sense. Who was working for who and why. If Pete was hired by the wife, why did he try and kill Seagal so much? Why write him a letter to be given up him by someone who is going to kill him? How did they get that second hotel receptionist to work a day after the previous one was randomly murdered? OMG the voice dubbing, why? How bad could the original have been? The random killings for no reason. Ahhh the shooting scenes....

His claims: having been trained personally by O-sensei Morihei Ueshiba, despite that Ueshiba had been dead two years already when Seagal moved to Japan. He also claimed to have met, befriend and sparred with Bruce Lee, despite that Lee lived in Hong Kong at the time.
Oh, he also claimed to be CIA operative in Vietnam, despite being 12 years old during gulf of Tonkin incident and early twenties when the war ended. So unless he was a child soldier or that CIA decided for some reason to forgo it's other operatives in favor of 20 year old rookie, that's big lie.

It's an old movie. He quickly rectified that by adding stripclub scenes at the very beginning, having 2 or 3 families/lovers in different countries and NEVER taking off his clothes.

Man, I miss the old Seagal movies that were, you know...good.

Seagal is such a narcissist. His character in every single movie he’s in is either the most decorated soldier or the most lethal hitman or the most accomplished Yale professor (🤮🤮🤮). He’s never just an average guy with some skills or luck.

It’s funny, the then cast of SNL are all over CZcams saying the same thing about that time he hosted. He wouldn’t do any scenes where he wasn’t the best and scariest man on the planet.
