One other thing to note is that you can also cancel her E2 with protobelt to dodge/bait enemy spells, which has a shorter cooldown than flash and hourglass
I did once such an insaaane putplay through thatbaiting out cassio r and killing her afterwards
I do this all the time. E, wait a tiny bit, recast E and get out with proto. They'll always panic. It's a mental game.

As an akali main id like to give you guyz an advice to learn the R E combo (wich is not easy at all), if you E during any point of the R animation the E is gonna go out at the end of the R animation and u will miss it. To cancel the E animation you need to press it when akali does a flip above the enemy champion (akali jumps above champions when her R1 hits) and then the animation will cancell and ull hit ur E automatically. And also as mentionned in the guide you need to be close to be max R ranged to make it work. Ive never seen anyone talking about this tip to land R E combo and when I discovered in practice tool i stopped missing the R E combo.

2m akali diamond here. in some figth, lets say akali vs ez you have to e wizely bc as soon as you ult hes gonna e an dash away. if you can use proto to aproach, or even flash.
2r will not always be the last hability to kill. hittinh e isn't synonyms of good akali. staying close of the enemy without taken damage is. R+PROT+Q+IGNITE+FLASH+AA+QR2+E+E2AA

akali have alot of combo but to play her at a high level one must know her damage and use the combo accordingly, everything in this guide will get you nowhere. If u're a plat mid laner and you want to pick up akali using this guide u'll descend to ... a silver akali player

@@brick466 i am a onetrick akali since even before her rework my old account with about 300000 mastery point on akali got ban the one i currently play have 884539 mastery point i play akali in master for the last 2 year and let me tell you something no build is the recommended build for akali, you have to build according to the enemy team and the state of the game i dislike any kind of champion guide on the internet saying that everything is easy while speaking only the simplest thing or the most basic thing possible

3:28 The thing about the R+E combo is, that you actually dont need to hover your cursor above the enemy. At max range you will ALWAYS hit it. So instead use the direction for better positioning.

As a certified akali main I shall graciously give this video the stamp of approval, BUT i have a few thoughts
1) there were actually alot of things that i dont see very many people talk about. a lot of other videos tend to just say the BARE basics like literally calling "E E AA Q R" a combo rather than just pressing your buttons in a logical fashion.
2) I dont think that the R E combo is a good thing to use in EVERY situation. In many situations I simply use R into Q as to not waste my E. usually if the target has a lot of movement speed or they are dashing, it makes the R E combo pretty inconsistent unless you predict the dash. A lot of people seem to think that it's just a free combo.... even though it's really not. HOWEVER if the target doesnt have a movmenet speed buff or a dash and there aren't very many minions in the way..... then yea it's not difficult at all. But it is just not a "use this every time" combo. It's really good on adcs that you need to kill quickly and that dont have mobility, but if there is a lulu to give movement speed, i tend not to use it.
3) Although I don't disagree that dorans and second wind is good, It's not personally my thing. It's definitely good for people learning akali because of how safe it is, and even in some situations where you are confident in your akali mechanics. But I have noticed that most if not EVERY akali match up that is difficult (so really just ranged champions) you can just follow the process of "start W if they are very aggressive in the first few second, if not then Q. Far the best you can, play decently safe, wait until 6, Kill them." So often you can be a good amount of cs down and then just kill them at 6 easier than you would have because you have the extra Ap from dorans rings. You would get a few more cs from being able to heal and tank a bit more, but it's, in my experience, not as good as i hoped it would be. NOT BAD..... just nto my play style.
4) as for Runes, similar to dorans shield, i never go resolve, but it's a preference thing. ALSO, even when going electrocute, last stand is ALMOST a must. the damage you get form it is not fair.

What do you guys think of maxing E on Akali? I've been doing it for a few months and honestly the raw burst damage it gives you is insane. It's so much fun. Yes, my cs game becomes much harder, but I'm compensated by getting ahead with some early kills.

Q is insane for trading vs melees though and gives you more dps in longer fights.

Also, I miss old Akali. She was PERFECT, even for noobs like me. Insane sustain, 3 close the gaps, and splitpush power with sheen procs on every 2 seconds with her E. Damn, I wish Riot stops remaking every "easy" champion, in a new ultra hard to play version.

Can't clear jg - She was not made for it. She got bonus dmg against monsters from patch 11.18 but the main idea was for her to be mid-laner ad assassin.
Miserable in lane - as most melee mid-lane champions without a way to sustain/fast wave clear.
Soulless ult - your personal preference are irrelevant to her state in the game.
Which as statistic shows is fine. As long as you play her enough games, and know what you can/cant do you are destine to win more then lose.

Her damage overall isn’t much, e2 damage is where most of her damage is. Which, she has to commit to fully engaging on 1+ champions. She’s also not unstoppable. Like every other assassin.. zhonyas.. cc.. yet you won’t complain about zed one shotting you with a w midlane while he’s in bot lane

She is shit right now, try her please. You might get some kills if you're really good with her but in most cases it is super hard to close out games with akali because all other aspects of her - taking objectives, turrets, pushing- are atrocious. Aside from that, the current meta does not really favor assassins.
