When I meet Asian people who openly dislike Black people I remind them that: 1. Black people did not devise and sign off on the Chinese Exclusion Act. 2. Black people did not drop nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki purely because the people affected were Asian. 3. Black people did not put Asian people in Internment camps, subjecting them to murder and rape purely because they were Asian. And 4. What's strange, is that if you view images from the early 1900s of koreans, chinese etc.. they all have wide faces, wide noses, small eyes, brown yellowish skin etc..
You can look at images of "street North Koreans" today, they look identical to other Asians. Heck, my Filipina girlfriend thought that a South Korean disco star from the 1970's was a Filipina because this was before the plastic surgery and make-up craze. Average South Koreans back then look identical to the Indonesians and Pinoys you see in the streets.

An overall trend that I notice almost everywhere I go, is that the majority of North American Asian wmn seem to be with wht men. It’s almost crazy to see. No other race is doing this to this extent. Whites are also almost worshipped when they visit some Asian countries. If you don’t believe it, just do a little research.

Interesting. Back in college, I had a friend from China who really wanted to marry a ‘white man’, she was obsessed with the idea and I didn’t really understand why. She actually thought I was ‘Wasian’ at first, and approached me just to ask if I was (that’s how I first knew her), but I am Arab. She’s okay with marrying an Arab dude too, as long as he is light skinned like me and isn’t too religious…don’t know where she is now. She was very pretty and mild-mannered, and I knew her eagerness for white dudes probably got her taken advantage of.

A Filipino friend of mine has a half white daughter. The daughter married a white guy. I remember her showing photos of the granddaughter and commenting how she could see some Filipino, but hopefully she will look more white as she gets older. She literally said this like nothing was wrong with it.

My last year of school before university I dated a Chinese guy. His mother loved me and I really felt awkward about it. I couldn't put my finger on it, but it felt off. My boyfriend said it was because I was English, tall, blonde hair, light blue eyes and skinny.
He was a great guy but at that age, his parents genuinely freaked me out. After I introduced him to my parents, he probably would have been better off not introducing me to his parents and just explained why they were giving weird vibes. Wouldn't have scared me off so easily if I had been a bit older but definitely too much for 18 year old me at the time.

I follow several black (black American and African) youtubers living in China. Some do well, some struggle when it comes to dating. I feel even if the woman is romantically interested, they will not want the societal stigma of dating them. Does anything like this happen with dating for caucasian men?
China in general are racist. They really respect power and status. So I would not be surprised if the society reenforce the status quo. When marrying out, I think they would prefer white over black. But since China is expanding its foot print into Africa, I think there might be some state propaganda in support of being color blind.

You move to ANY big metropolitan area that Asians live in like Seattle, LA/Cali, Chicago, and especially NY and Houston, you will see Asian and Afro couples but definitely less than WMAF. Mostly it is Thai/Viet/Cambodian Asians with African Americans and then after that SK and Japanese are usually neck and neck and then the last is Chinese but there are Chinese - African couples in NYC

Love this. I studied Mandarin at National Taiwan University as part of an NSA program with my college. Most of my best friends are asians or mixed asians and I did a lot of volunteer work in the past with them. Its very nuanced and although I didn't have the most pleasant interactions at time I know most of it is from a place of self-preservation and ignorance rather than always outright hatred. You know, I think it is a bit of a cruel irony that Asian cultures are very patriarchal in nature but when they are exposed to the outside world, Asian men's status quickly dwindle and the women go for the now more desirable white man. It is almost like a case of beaten at their own game. I can only assume the White face have some sort of universal appeal as they tend to be more symmetrical and fit this supposed "golden ratio" more often.
Well, the nuclear family no longer exists in China with over 50% divorce rate. Also, I would say Western Men have more Rizz vs Asian Men, so many Asians are raised by Tiger parents that forces them to study 16 hours a day and have no social life. The romantic charm from Western male can feel like a breath of fresh air to Asian women.

This is a situation in India too, or atleast, it used to be. A lot of Bollywood actors and Wasians (Katrina, Dia Mirza, Lara Dutta, Dino Morea, etc) or white (Kalki, Hazel, etc)
I never even heard of any of these actresses except Katrina. Indians like white skin not white people that's a huge difference. Some of popular old Bollywood movies were outright racist towards whites.

I knew that mindset for me as an Black American but that mindset for my wife's people (Filipino) Brown skin, flatter nose, full lips and any other South East Asian (Khmer, Laos, Indonesian etc that fits that description. my impression is that east asians adopted colorism, because they dont like austronesians. Austronesian ancestry which is common in SE Asia, but also there are tribes in China and Taiwan. Which is why you can still find chinese men who look like filipinos.
So basically, EAs adopted a color barrier.
I dont really believe the day laborer and farm hand theory; except that a lot of austronesian types would end up being field workers; and other EA that took jobs outdoors may begin to resemble SE asians
