DESCRIPTION
Hey everyone! In this video I show you how you can make amazing, advanced embed with buttons. Upon clicking these buttons you can make it send a private custom message that can say anything. With this new feature in the Discord API, we can make menu messages that will replace our long boring information channels with a smaller, compact one with interactive menu buttons. For example, you can have a button that says View Rules, and clicking that emoji will show all the server rules you set for your server. The sent messages are ephemeral, meaning only the person that clicked the button can see it.
We approach this advanced system with a webhook sender called Discohook and it's 3rd party utility bot called Discohook Utils developed by shay#0038. Thank you for watching, have a wonderful day!

I did all the steps, built my embed and then hit the send button and nothing happened. It never popped up in my discord - I saved my embed as a backup and decided to try again the next day. Today, when I hit "Open in Discohook," the "Send" button is greyed out and I can't press it.
when i put the discohook link in the button and i pressed it, it didn't show the role name but something like this: , anyone know how to fix this?
Is this the same exact step as to instead of revealing messages, it takes you to for example a form for a mod application? Or is it different?
@@leiathequeen delete and retype the last character in the webhook URL link.
I think there's a whitespace or something which is probably preventing.

I've looked all over on CZcams but I can only find the boosted related progress bar.
I want a custom progress bar, non-boost related, I can display in an embed and I can of course easily update it.
I'm curious if you might know a way to do it. I was thinking of just using two emoji lines, a green and red.
If there is a better way to do this I'd love to see what you come up with.

Known Problem: "Send" button greyed out and not letting you send?
Solution: Click on the Webhook URL, click ctrl + x, click ctrl + v (basically cut and paste the URL in the slot).
This should solve your issue!
ctrl + p is printing.
For anyone confused, he accidently put ctrl + p, just replace the p with v.

Hi Roonie. Great video, this and your embedded messages one helped me and a friend create a discord server for a social group. Thank you for that. We've been using the buttons but want to update the content within them. Is there a way to do this without deleting the button and recreating it from scratch as the more content I add, the more tedious it becomes to re-add the content to them?
And is there a way to add file attachments into the hidden embedds that show up with the button?

when i try to add a button it doesnt work, it just says Failed to send the message. It may be improperly formatted - notify your server admin.

Yoo, how do you make second embed appear without author? I want to create buttons, and look like its one message with many buttons after each section. But every time I do that, I get to author up there. If discohook can rly do that, I'll value it over Sapphire, else I see more benefits using sapphire since all your messages are saved you don't need any backups and it's always easy to manage :P

I think there is a max of nine. (Atleast for Emoji buttons) I was able to make 9 emoji buttons just fine, but now its telling me "Button Rejected, Invalid Emoji"
I know the emoji isnt invalid and the rest of them worked just fine.

Is it possible to make it so that for example, when you click the button a Mee6 reaction roles messages appears?
What I want to create is an advanced role selection. There are 10 different game categories in my server and I want members to be able to select specific preferences for the game they play.
However I don't want all preferences and reaction roles to be visible for everyone as that would be a giant mess. I want to create it in a way that a member can select their game (on the button for example) and then have an entire list of reaction roles dedicated to that game show up only for that user.
Is your method using Discohook, compatible with Mee6? If it is, I think this would work.
i dont think so cuz reaction roles work on message, emoji and roles id. what will work is a custom discord bot

I dont think this bot hosts button capabilities any longer. I could be doing it wrong but the support server has others having this issue and there are no answers for it.
How do you have the dismiss message when the content of the button shows? when I press the button theres no dismiss option

Theres this feature where if you click the button instead of it revealing a message it reveals a forums you can submit and the forums u submit gets sent to a channel, i dont know how they do it but its a need
I think thats a feature of some bots, unfortunately you can't do it without custom bots.

Thanks for the great video, but the Discohook Utils bot sometimes goes offline or doesn't respond when I press the buttons.
Yeah unfortunately thats the case, you could get a custom bot or use sapphire but theres no fix really.

when i try to add the button it dont say apps
It's saying "this interaction failed" when I click the button.
Tried following it on my mobile, it won't even send a thing to my server. Moved the bot at the very top, still nothing. No matter how I tap the send button multiple times, the "webhook messages" are not even multiplying on my server.
