EDF Earth Defense Force 5 M 99 Intense Battle Underground - Ranger Inferno

Thanks to DystenyKnight for recommending this loadout. I tried to use Volcanic Napalm, which works great - until you reach the final cavern and can't get around the corner. Shotgun, Reverser and explosion proof underwear are the way to go.
Handle the first few Alphas in a way that gets you in the right position to spawn kill the Betas when the path opens. The first Pylon you encounter is a fraud. It doesn't spawn anything. Leave it till everything else is dead. The next group of Alphas try to lure you into a trap. If you run up to them and kill some, Betas and a King appear in the hall behind you. This leaves you with enemies coming from 2 directions and no way to retreat. Don't go up to the Alphas, wait till one of them diffuses into the range of your shotgun and fight in the tunnel you came from (4:40). The next Pylon with Gammas is no problem for the shotgun, just be quick as a horde of Alphas spawned in your back when you walked over a certain point. Next, kill some Betas and recruit the new NPCs, but be careful. In front of you lies the final trap. The 5 Pylons in the last hall are inactive until you attack them - unless you play on Inferno, where they get triggered when you cross the point where the cave becomes narrow again (13:20). Additionally, some Alphas were placed in that part of the cave to slow you down and allow the enemies from the freshly activated Pylons time to swarm you. Kill the Alphas before activating the trigger, run in and don't forget the 2 Kings.
You can avoid activating the trigger by passing it without touching the ground.
WD: fly over
F: jump over
AR: Depth Crawler along the ceiling. If you're not a Glitch Raider who doesn't care about such shiat as triggers at all.
R: I heard that you can pass the trigger by using 2 bikes. Put one on the ground and use it as a ramp to jump over with the second bike. I tried it, didn't work for me.

At least it's an old model that looks fine. The MS Falcon got the ugly old MLRA model. They didn't even change the color.

That is a lot of light for an underground level. In EDF 4.1, I can't see more than 2 metres outside the flashlight 😭

When I tried this mission in Inferno I used the Grant MTX and Monsoon MZ. I used the Monsoon MZ because of the shorter reload time and the Grant MTX because I found out in M97 that King Spiders are vulnerable to knockdown by explosives. The problem is that it's an explosive weapon which means if a bug corpse or an ally runs in front of you as you're firing a rocket, well... just don't break a keyboard.
Also, I haven't actually finished the level with this loadout and I think I have to change my Probe Type 5 to Hybrid Explosion-proof Shirt. I'm not even sure that this strategy works consistently.
EDIT: Yeah... this strat doesn't work. The likelihood of killing yourself with a rocket exploding too close is too high.
