Awesome episode, bens killin it! Love to see it.
Thank you!
Love these episodes! 🔥
🙌
Great video. I just got my 2022 f600 6.7l and containers last week. Had to get my containers out of Florida, but they were in stock, freight was a killer, but the containers were 2k a piece less than what I could get them for in California. Thanks for the motivation Heith! Located in Riverside county, California. Southland Dumpster Rental
Thanks Jon! Finding containers in stock is tough congratulations on taking delivery of the new equipment 👌
Do mind sharing the dumpster company had dumpster in stock? Thanks
What kind of hook system ?
Great video Heath, thanks for making me look good!
Haha you did great Ben!! Thanks again
Great Job guys! Great video. Starting up a curbside business next month in Salem, NH less than an hour south of you. Love that Ben has an old truck, old dumpster and making things happen! I was in the real estate rental business in the White Mountains and sold to start my business. Renting property is a great way to go, I will definitely get back into it once things are rolling. Thanks for the video!
Truck is awsome, starting with a 2013 Kenworth t270 hooklift. Need to diy a tarp kit.
Nice!
I started with an international a lot like that except it was 54inch hook height and 33k gvw with air brakes when I was 19 I’m 22 now. It turned out the truck was no good but the hook lift was almost new so I bought a 2005 Kenworth T300 with a 8.3l Cummins and me and my dad swapped the hook over from the international to the KW. I also had a ton of help from parents (the money they had saved for college they bought me my business and trucks instead) it’s a grind but I love it, Except manually tarping the dumpsters I really need to get a tarp system.
That’s an awesome start up story man! It’s definitely a grind! Auto tarpers are pretty expensive but they save a lot of time and pay their weight back in no time!
Great job
Thank you!
Great stuff. Lapel mics please
I bought a gooseneck Bison trailer and two cans. Discovered very early on I didn’t buy enough equipment. Waiting on three more cans to be built now. The gooseneck is way more maneuverable than a bumper pull. I’ve put cans in places that the big trucks can’t get into. I hope to be at Ben’s level of equipment within the next year. Hoping to leave the doldrums of working for the man behind me.
That is awesome!
@@lakechamplainsanitation7226 I actually called you a day or two ago and left you a voicemail. I’m the guy in Florida with a couple questions
@@mcwilliams4546 all of the calls need to be booked in Calendly to schedule time out of the day please!
@@lakechamplainsanitation7226 River that will do
What kinda pick you drive MC???
Y didn't you ask him how he started with pricing and how he figured what to charge?
I registered an LLC and am in btwn a decision to buy an old hooklift truck like that one I would like some info abt the truck how can I reach freedom dumpster guy to give me an insight.
Send him a Fbook message!
What's the best way to avoid customers putting things inside dumpster that's shouldn't go in there? Or to exceed weight limit?
Do you think you could start doing this on the side just weekends and nights ?
For sure!
@@lakechamplainsanitation7226 thanks for the comment. Have you thought of doing bin cleaning as well? Seems it could compliment your business.
bison trailer still for sale?
Heath, what an awesome vid!! You and Ben both seem to be common sense minded business owners. Gained a new subscriber today.
In regards to the hooklift/cable roll off trailer debate. Any thoughts on the Switch and Go system on a cab/chassis pickup?
Lastly, I am born and raised "Yankee" New England, currently living in Florida as of last year. Been a CDL driver since 1998, and in the trash business since 2017. I currently do resi rear load and roll off, both CDL commercial in Florida. Wondering how it would be starting a side gig in the business, while working for an employer in the business.
Anyways, best of luck to you and your company, and I look forward to more great content.
Awesome man thank you for the channel support! I have friends with switch n gos and they like them, I don’t think they have as many bin size options like Hooklifts do but they are quite a bit cheaper to get set up at least the switch n go system vs Hooklift body. Before starting a business in the industry your currently working in I would just be careful there are no “non competes” in place for you as an employee
@@lakechamplainsanitation7226 My thoughts too. I will look up my onboarding paperwork to see what specifically it says.
