I miss Quentin Grimes in Houston, I am happy to see him in the nba, I have watched him for years, he has done a lot for Houston and now he will do the same for the Knicks, he has a bright future
Grimes has high ball IQ, the best shot, and the best perimeter defense. That's a winning player. Grimes is a very good player. I feel like he can make an all star team or two later on in his career. I think right now he’s in Mitchell Robinsons level of impact on the court.
His shot has not been falling this year... he is just average and also his defense suffered a bit. He needs to knock those 3s. That will keep him on the court. He will not be an elite defender because he lacks the wingspan and size that elite guys have but he can be a very good defender and a very good scorer. A true two-way player
@@mrvk39 this is later in the season so things may of changed but his shot has certainly been good this year. He takes tough shots and is at 11ppg on 61TS%, which is incredibly efficient especially for only a sophomore.
@@swishreacts2833 yes, now, his shot is money. Before Hart acquisition, though, Grimes was missing open 3s for a long stretch. I am glad he found his rhythm as we go into the playoffs.

This kid has it ALL. Can handle the ball has court vision and i a pest on d. Sky is the limit for this kid the knicks finally are on there way up and he’ll be a big part of it.
Right, I feel like he scored like 75% of his teams points and all his teammates looked terrible compared to him lol. Just a fun all star event but still, he came ready to score. Leading scorer of the whole event.
@@brennan5307 Half of Quentin Grime's teammates are from losing NBA teams thats why they lost. Only Evan Mobley/Jalen Williams and Joshy Giddey were from decent teams.
If the Knicks let Grimes create on offense like this is the type player you see every night. Thibs have him in spot up role with Jalen and Randle which is holding him back taking 7 shots a game
I don't think its just Thibs holding the kid back, I feel the Kid is holding himself back, because he is a good kid and he is giving those vets in front of respect. Right now he is forth on the totem pole. But personally I feel he should be 3rd on the pole, in front of RJ. More plays should be going through QG. IMO But then again, with his sharp shooting, he needs to stay outside, to open more space on the floor.
As a Knick and with his skin complexion, being light skinned, his game reminds me of John Starks, with his tenacity and catch and shoot ability and Alan Houston with how smooth of a shot it is.
Hopefully, this will give Grimes a confidence boost (not like he needs it lol). If he can keep his 3pt shooting at the same efficiency as last year and continue to improve his dribble penetration, he will be an all-star one day. Both JB and Grimes could be all-stars and a pretty good duo.
Last year I kept sayin I hope he gets more playing time and as he proceeds to get just that, he's also proving himself a solid player. Glad to have him on the Knicks

He doesnt ???? He has hit big 3s for the knicks and he plays great defense.. great play making.. great passing and great at cutting and driving to the basket.. his shot has been a little cold lately but he still has drained big 3s late in games for the knicks
