While watching this video, I am surprised to know, how close are our Andhra & Punjabi recipes. There you call them “Wadi or Wadiyan” and here in Andhra we call them Wadiyaa lu”. This small difference is because of the Telugu language system of suffixing “lu” after anything you wish to make it plural, just the way in Hindi we add “ yan”. I travelled around the whole India barring North & North East. As I understood so far, Punjabis & Andhrites are the real connoisseurs of India. We deserve a big applause 😀😀😀😀

Poonam's Kitchen In my original comment I mistakenly mentioned that, I have not travelled North and Northeast India. Actually it should be East and Northeast. One more big common thing in Andhra & Punjabi food habits is, only these two states people love pickles, both veg & non veg

Poonam I love ur recipe, just a question instead of putting roasted wheat flour to thicken the gravy ,can we put corn flour to make it thick.
Thanks for your appreciation. You cannot use cornflour for thickening this gravy. Corn flour will make a shiny, slimy gravy that is common in Chinese curies, and that thickens really bad after sometime (becomes very gooey after a while!) It does not taste good with our desi curries
