One point in our bagaholic life, we believe that we are only purchasing to one store but unknowingly there’s two. 😅 I want to share this video because same as you I thought there’s only one Coach Store.
These are the things I know, but in case there are things that inaccurate, feel free to comment down below. Feedback is very much appreciated. 🙂

I agree. Most factory/outlet coach items are for entry level markets unlike the retail ones. Thanks for sharing! Though I've read lots of articles before how to identify fake ones vs factory vs retail
I have an outlet messenger bag for men, the thing is 100% leather I got for about 90% off. Salesgirl said it was overstock from the retail place as mens bags don't really sell well so they get a lot of their leftovers..

I think you would have to compare the same model, one from the retail and one from the outlet for it to be a fair comparison of quality. For example if you also had a rouge from an outlet and we saw it was stiffer leather then that would be a fair comparison. Because the rouge bag is simply different from the other one retail or not.

There is no outlet version of the rogue. If a rogue makes it to the outlet, it was originally on the shelf at a retail store.
There will be no such thing as a 1:1 comparison because Coach creates models specifically for the outlet based on bags from the retail store with less features, less details, lower quality/thinner/lighter hardware, and lesser quality/thinner leathers.
Outlet bags are still good quality (stitched to last, materials are good). But if you want leatherware that truly rivals the top leather of more luxurious houses (like coach’s famous glovetanned leather), you need to shop retail Coach.

Thanks I thought the outlet stuff was just stuff they couldn’t sell. I bought a jacket from them but if I don’t like it I’m returning it. I’ll just save up for the one coach actually wants me to buy lol

@@classicstorm not sure in your country but in Australia, outlet store is selling mostly last season items. Like coach, or Furla, they put unsold item from last season to their outlet store. So the quality as good as retails store, the difference is only not their new style/last season style.

@@classicstorm Yeah she is speaking on American stores not Australian stores. Australian Coach outlet stores have specific racks that are full of ‘clearance items’ which are sent from retail stores mostly last seasons items at heavily discounted prices. Like literally they were made for retail stores but they get sent to outlets for various reasons. So in Australia you can get high quality Coach items (mostly mens) from the outlet stores. That’s not to say they don’t stock their shelves with outlet designs but they do have a reasonable amount of retail coach store items in the outlets here.

Outlet bags are the best and they get the most sells
Yes! I love every outlet bag I have and have paid $120-200 for them. They are great quality and last me a long time. Will forever be an outlet lover.

not every bags in coach boutique stores are made of leather, there are a few bags that are made of PVC and Fabric.

Not all bags go on sale in the retail store. Sometimes they do a 30 % discount on some styles , but the most iconic bags do not go on sale. The willis, the hitch backpack etc... those do never go on sale.
Saying that the outlet items are always on sale is a misconception, they certainly want you to believe you are getting a deal, but the reality is that those outlet signature styles are created with that "discounted price" , so when you see the comperable value on the price tag.... that item was never priced at that price point. it is an illusion . Yes , the outlet does discounts and sales... but those are not sales on top of a sale.
So true, what you are paying in the outlet is actually the right price of what you are buying given the poor quality 😂 i do have few items from the outlet and they never lasts.. The hardware fades quickly, the leather peeled curled.. So now i have to worry how to dispose them, so bad for the environment 😬

The Google answer is incorrect: there are major qualitative differences from outlet to Coach/outside retail vendor. Aside from the “bullseye” mark the most obvious difference is the liner. Coach store typically uses a suede or felted liner while outlet merchandise uses cheap polyester or poly fabric liners. You could also see the difference in the piping, outlet had multi piece piping that’s spliced together at many random points, the retail merchandise uses fewer pieces.
Lol my tote bag lining I just bought felt cheap haha but it’s dark canvas outside so to me it looks classy😏
This may not apply to wallets and card holders. I have 2 card holder items, that are from the outlet, that have a felt tip lining.

No hay necesidad de confundirnos si queremos mejor calidad obviamente lo cobraran por eso hay la versión de alta gama pero muchos buscamos las rebajas para eso están los outles, ambos son originales, cada quien sabe cuanto esta dispuesto a gastar según su presupuesto.
Mejor dicho imposible 100% de acuerdo.
Ahora en tiendas departamentales puedes tener la suerte de encontrar buenos descuentos en coach, Kate Spade y Michael Kors de la línea normal solo que las opciones son limitadas.
Pero si en esencia al final tienes razón.
Los precios van de acuerdo a su calidad aunque la calidad de outlet creo que no es tan mala tampoco.
Es como cuando compras Zara de piel.
Siento que ese es el equivalente de Coach y Kate spade outlet. Ves que Zara tiene sus bolsas más caritas cuando son de piel genuina pues así es la calidad de una coach o Kate Spade outlet que no está nadaaa a mal

I personally prefer Coach Retail stores for handbags as the quality is better. They last longer. As for something like a walllet, which no one sees much- I stick with Coach Outlet. I know not everyone can afford retail. I saved up. I still love many of the Outlet bags I see. But once you’ve felt the difference, it’s hard to go back.
I would agree, once you’ve tried Retail… it would be easier to say No to Outlet. 😜

To buy whatever you love and can afford. I have both retail and outlet bags, and I use them a lot. May first coach is from an outlet in New Hampshire and it's sturdy. The only thing is, of course as expected, the canvas will wear off. Still very good for a 12-year-old bag.

Hi dear, as much as I want to help but unfortunately don’t have pillow tabby at the moment. But what I can suggest is to inspect the bag… feel of the leather, stitches, details of the bag… Pillow Tabby is retail so it should have dust bag. In regards to paper bag, if this is bought from the retail store paper bag should be black not unless the bag is moved/purchased to outlet; though that would be the least to consider.

Hi, if the serial number for example is C1950-12345. The first letter signifies the month in which the bag is manufactured. Therefore C means March. 😊

Angel Lagare hindi sis... hindi fake coach pa rin may gawa...ongoing ang production ng isang bag unless pinalitan na nila or inimprove design unlike retail ilan pieces lang ang prinuproduce nila. Dito sa Pilipinas mas marami bumibili ng Outlet kasi mas mura kumpara sa retail.
Of course authentic pa din un. There is no difference between the two , only retail have upgrades designs and best sellers , new designs. Unlike outlets were all mostly “most unsold “ because coach has high quality and high standard procedures once 1-3 months clients would not pick them because of style , taste etc they would dispatch or return it to so called “outlet” to sell them. It is authentic and authentic.

The factory outlet Coach is made cheaper for the outlet only!! The retail coach bags never go to the factory outlet even if it is marked down or an older style.
Yes it does , and its called coach reserved , you can find them at the Coach outlet online and in the coach outlet store but in small quantities , basically is the last stock of bag in mark down or the bags that haven’t been sold out quickly and need to go in order to bring new styles at the retail store and it range between 50 % to 70 % off discount .
