Celestial romance.
The moon plays a leading role in conducting the rhythm of life in the Middle East, her ethereal appearance hailing the beginning and end of all festivity. Yet in Arabic, invoking the moon is also an allusion to romance - ‘my moon’; an adoringly grandiose term for one’s beloved that speaks of beauty and eternal devotion.
Exuding a warm, opulent quality, rose, oud and frankincense meet a surprising abundance of ripe red berries. In subtle evocation of the fruit-flavored shisha enjoyed across the region, the profusion of redcurrant and raspberry notes adds sweetness and color.

This scent is the most intoxicating by far and really stands way above everything I tried. Even after I shower it doesn't go away.

It’s marketed as a unisex scent but reviewers give me the impression it leans on the masculine side. What do you think? For societal context, I am a woman in North America and planning to wear only one small spray of this on special or romantic evenings.
Hello Aliza, thanks for watching 🙏 The Moon is a true masterpiece from Julien Rasquinet. The scent is very strong, fruity, and special, I see it more suited for men. If you are used to strong scents (ombre nomade, alexandria ii), then The Moon can find a place in your collection.

@@adzadzy I own Promise and Oud Aquilaria and I tell you, in drydown I cannot say which is which :) If you get OmanLuxury, get the new updated bottle which is full glass, the old packing sucks : ))

Haven't tried this one yet but really looking forward to it. Is it similar to ombre nomade? How would you compare these two? ON is my signature scent
Hey Christos, The Moon is one hell of a strong scent .. almost makes it hard to wear. I like Ombre Nomade more because it´s somehow more "friendly" and you can wear it more often. The Moon is powerful, oud based with fruits .. and very oriental. It is worth a try, though : )

Hey Mido, thank you 🙏 The Promise has strong green apple note, cypriol (that spicy note used in somebody creams) and ambroxan. The Moon is 100% oriental by definition with oud and rose .. apart from the high prices and the same brand, I see no similarities.

I own the promise and I love the smell and it's style. Now I'm thinking about owning the moon but i need to save some money for it as it is having a high price tag and I'm sure it's worth it because the promise worth every penny.

Salut, Răzvan ! Dacă este noiembrie, eu folosesc Fidelis. Se merită să mai strâng niște bani pentru The Moon, sau mai bine să mă orientez pentru alt parfum al casei Frederic Malle ?
Salut Daian, Fidelis e fantastic! Doar daca vrei sa ai un parfum exclusiv si doar 2,3 in colectie The Moon poate fi unul dintre ele. Altfel e suficient Fidelis, as zice. Musc Ravageur si French Lover mai imi plac si le am, restul meh :) Take care!
@@razvanyke Să văd cum fac cu o sticluță de 50 ml de Moon. O să iau și Une Rose, că se termină travel size recipientul, iar parfumul acesta m-a încântat la fel de mult precum Portrait of a Lady.
@@DaianAntonin Hey Daian, ai incercat Wardasina de la Xerjoff sau Bulgari Garanat? Sunt cu super Rose, dureaza o viata si miros foarte bine ambele.
@@razvanyke Da, folosesc Wardasina, care la începuturi, când era la Sospiro, se numea Rosso Afgano. Dacă ar fi să compar Amouage Journey Man cu un alt parfum, eu cu Wardasina îl compar, căci ambele conțin tabac de cea mai bună calitate.

Hey there, I would get the 100ml The Moon and Oud Aquilaria instead of Promise, very similar juice and almost half the price 😃 They are both very special scents, not sure how much the ladies like them (versus sweet pleasers like Layton, Allure). Take care !
