  • This is the perfect beginner RC Car in my opinion and a great step up from the budget options out there.
    Its excellent quality, strong, durable and although its not as fast as some of the other beginner options out there its a nice all round package.
    Team Corally have done a great job with this new RC Car and it destroys the ARRMA Typhon 3s BLX in terms of build quality and features (IMO)
    The Syncro4 shares 80% of its components with legacy vehicles making it much easier to find spare parts.
    Team Corally have also improved on spares/parts availability and shipping is also much easier than before.

    Its asinine that people are complaining about it being "slow". Maybe some of you missed the fact that TC is using this buggy as an entry level basher. Its aimed towards those who are fairly new to the hobby as well as new to 1/8 scale cars. Being that it shares parts with The Spark and such, its easy to upgrade it later on. That's the entire point of the car.

    • @beyondRC
      @beyondRC  Před měsícem +4

      Great points and it’s only slow due to the stock gearing. It’s very much a 50mph car after pinion upgrade. It has a Center diff, 1/8 components and is over engineered make it way better than the Arrma typhon 3s. As mentioned in the vid a great 2nd car after a budget RC car

    • @The_Hobby_Playground
      @The_Hobby_Playground Před měsícem +2

      @@beyondRC I don't think most people will keep these stock, once they get used to them. Personally, I'm probably gonna bump the pinion up to a 17t, upgrade to Asuga shocks, and throw a Torox 185 combo in mine when I grab one. I think it can also use the same center braces as the Asuga/Spark XB6

    I have had mine for a month now and its been great. I did find the shocks slow, the buggy would not raise up after compression, so I went with 30 weight and its way better now. The thicker stuff is good for bashing but I was track running and just ground pounding with small jumps. The motor mount is jacked they drilled it for the 13 tooth the 2 other holes are not large enough to fit the screws so drilling is required. Turn the punch and servo voltage up and it really wakens it up. I dont find 40 slow with the 15 tooth I am getting 45 so the 17 should get you 50. At the price point for 4s brushless power its hard to beat its a great rc

  • @gazzap6664
    @gazzap6664 Před měsícem +1

    Really tempted to pull the trigger on this, we have the Sketer and I think its fair to say that it's not the quickest but its way quick enough for bashing around and I think 40 mph is plenty fast enough, you certainly don't think it's slow when driving it. What I like about the Sketer is the durability and how well (and easy) it is to drive,, it looks like the new Synchro 4 is another winner for me. I do own the Big Rock and its great fun but the Sketer drives better, even my 5 year old can drive the Sketer. Haven't got a buggy yet but this looks like the one to buy, If not this then the Asuga (but of course its a lot more) Im becoming a bit of a Corally fan and I have seen this at quite a few places for sub 300 pounds which to me looks great value.

    The syncro is looking nice, but for value you can find the Corally Muraco/Shogun truggy that come with a 6s system for similar cost which is what I got a month ago. It's a fun driver on 4s and also can take a bit of bashing on 6s if you get the version with the tower to tower brace.

    Considering that is an hobbywing rebranded, it may just being set on 75% max speed and a low punch. Also, 2 teeth on the pinion and u wil go over 40 on 4s for sure. In my opinion offroader need that extra torque and quickness, u hardly have space enough to reach top speed on a track or in offroad environment!

    It looks awesome and yes the build quality is nice but I think, out the box, the Arrma Typhon 3s is better. Corally look as if they took the Arrma 3s and 6s and tried to make an inbetween. If they wanted to reduce weight why put a metal chassis on it?

    • @beyondRC

  • @alantaylor353
    @alantaylor353 Před měsícem +1

    For the people who say "It's slow".....
    Have you heard of these things called "Pinion Gears".?
    They're amazing.!!.. With a "Pinion Gear" you can tune your RC for acceleration or top speed.!
    I realise that they're incredibly difficult to find..
    (I won't tell you where I get mine from, I've got to protect my source).! 😉
    They also require a lot of skill to change, after all they do have a deviously tricky little device called a "Grub Screw" which requires a very rare specialist tool called an "Allen Key" to unscrew...
    Not to mention you've got to remember which way to turn the damned thing.😲🤯
    Then there's the possibility of threadlock.😡🤬.!.!.!.!!
    If that's the case you're left with no choice other than throwing your RC away, getting a new one & hoping they didn't screw you over by using threadlock.!😉
    Why, It's almost like they don't want you to be able to tune your RC to suit your needs.!
    They make them so difficult to get to aswell, they sometimes force you to remove a dust cover to get to it.!!
    It's really not good enough.!!!
    I demand that every RC built be EXACTLY AS I WANT IT.!!
    They should forget about every one else & call me directly to ask how I'd like their new RC to perform & handle... Whether I end up buying it or not.!!
    Or I suppose they could build them with a middle of the road, all round tune that's not going to overtax the RC's electronics thus ensuring long term reliability & leave the fine tuning up the the owner..
    Then we can decide if we want to take the risk of potentially overgearing it & overheating components...
    That could work too... I suppose.! 😉 😉
