Nice unboxing video! It seems like the manual's initial steps might have been missed, where it suggests filling the bean container first, then powering on the machine, and adjusting settings (language, water hardness, etc) settings. The third step is to remove the water container, install the filter, and add water. Easy to overlook, but following the manual ensures a smooth setup.

How do you make the water hotter?

This would be an option in the settings menu, you will have a low, medium, hot option :)
