It’s insane how the commercial with this song smartly played us. It focused on the bracelet so much, that we totally didn’t realize the whole time that she was holding Joel’s revolver.

The game is supposed to be centered on the theme of self-destruction. Ellie’s covered her bite, the thing that gave the Fireflies hope, with a moth. Moths kill themselves by flying straight into fire, chasing the heat of the flames. Ellie’s set on destruction. I think the question of the game is whose destruction it really is.
Moths actually suffer from phototaxis tho
Also the firefly's phrase is "Look for the light." Look what looking for the light has caused.
By the way the sequel is based on Hate so it's normal

Me too, I really understand what she's saying....... There's nothing worse than coming from a home filled with tension and feeling lonely and filled with fear, it eats away at your soul and the older you get the bigger the fear grows and there is no way to make it go away. I can't believe that this is a New Order cover from the eighties. I love both versions, but Ellies version just really cuts into

@@christiankyleacbang9439 I think everyone should play this game, it gets a lot of hate but if you open your mind and see the story for what it is- a fictional story- then you should enjoy it. I had a blast in my play through and I immediately played it again to do the New Game+ and get the platinum. Just keep in mind that the way you want the story to go may be different from the actual outcome and you should have fun. Good luck, and may your survival be long!

But yes I definitely think The Last Of us part II is better than death stranding, I never played that yet though so my opinion is probably biased. The last of us is generally a pretty simple story there's not any weird alien babies so it's a lot easier to digest. If you haven't played it yet I'd still say go for it. :)

I feel like... “the morning sun” means Joel. Joel was giving her back the childhood she never had. He was her father figure and her guide. She was angry with him because she cared. She never thought she would lose the sun. She wanted to watch him die of old age, she didn’t want to watch him destroy himself because he got to soft and comfortable. She blames herself for that. That if she didn’t come along he wouldn’t have gotten soft or if she didn’t mess around with Dina in the Weed emporium she could have saved him. There’s so much to interpret in these lyrics.

What about the aesthetics, the mechanics, the 3D animation, the acting, the soundtrack, the game physics, the sound design, etc? There aren't many games that have achieved this level of detail, TLOU 2 really deservers the praise it's getting; not sure about the hate it's getting tho, it usually comes from ignorance. People are too quick to judge before taking into account the work behind the scenes

Man, I love this song. Especially the lyric "The childhood I lost replaced by fear". Man, Ellie had to grow up in a apocalypse-changed-world. Just like Clementine in TWD, another series I love. Clem is very similar to Ellie in some ways. I love the edits of this song to the last of us scenes, but I would really like a clementine edit of this song too, that would be dope.
Just please dont compare this to TWD they are totally different games and this has a lot more emotions and is more realistic. Not saying i dont like TWD but still. These games don’t deserve to be compared to eachother.

Sometimes there are too many dark things..like rolling waves higher and higher. When it calms this is when you come out of the dark. My child was murdered at 14 yrs. I was in a tsunami for years. The song is about a heroin addiction. Bernard Sumner of New Order wrote it in the 80s about his addiction.

I feel like despite having lots more music, most of which is a lot better, they are still overshadowed by joy division because of about 2 or 3 songs and modern day self professed "indie girls" walking around with the unknown pleasures album cover plastered all over them despite not knowing where it's from
@@mattday7337 If you "feel", then it's impressionistic. Overshadowed for many reasons. They only existed for a few years and influenced many through the band's short existence and so few songs. No point in hating a girl for wearing a Joy Division Tee. They just keep the band alive and spread the name further. Nothing wrong with wanting attention btw. Those people exist in all forms. Just look at the current trend with the Pokemon TCG.

Do not follow the negatives comments... play and take your conclusion, this game change de way i see everything, It brokes your emotional, make u feel depressing and flying in the same time, play with attention and try to understand every both sides, The Last of us 2 is a Masterpiece, i never feel like that since red dead redemption 2.
I agree - Red Dead 1 & 2 and Last of Us 1 & 2 have fantastic, emotional stories. I really hope they do a Part 3 to give a conclusion to Ellie's story
@@cyclonus759 let's hope for a final conclusion. But after seeing how the game performed on his release, being one of Playstation all time best sellers, I wouldn't be surprised if Sony and ND want to close the saga with a part III. After all uncharted got 4 games and one major spin off.

Honestly this game way amazing, it was so beautifully done, and the theme of self-destruction, with Ellie's covered bite, then Joel's death, hunting abby and in the end not being able to kill her, is amazing, and just everything is just wow, i have no words...The way the story is told and how it's portrayed it makes you feel like your actually there and the music oh my god, it's beautiful and it captures the moment so perfectly.
The depiction of the moth in this video i think alludes to Ellie and how she destroys herself trying to hunt down Abby to avenge Joel, and she lost everything in the end, just like how a moth looses everything when they fly towards the light, they die and lose everything
Just like Ellie did.

very soon i will begin my fifth run of this game. From time to time, very rare, its true, a game comes along that no matter how many times you play it, you just cant stop. This is one of those games. A masterpice and pure art.
