    Okay this is why I need a husband- I hate doing things like this, but love watching others do it. I’ll cook and clean whole hubby takes care of these tasks. Thanks for providing this How To video. I just purchased solar lights, but it’ll take me a month to convince myself to get out and do it. 😂

    when I first bought my house, i installed powered lights. I was younger than and did not mind all the digging and burying of the cables. Those lights lasted about 10 years. Now I went ahead and bought Hampton Bay lights. For the price for 5 , $26.00 and the easy of installation I cant complain. My lights are similar to the ones in this video, but I used them in my back yard where the light diffusion is better suited.

    Hi, I enjoyed the video and thought it contained some great info. But I have some feedback. Rather than repeatedly showing yourself hammering in the stakes, it would have been more helpful to get more info about the putting the "tricky" tops back on, and what you learned about how to make it work well. That's what we CZcamsr's want to know, how to deal with the hard stuff, the unexpected problems and challenges. Finally, I was really disappointed that you didn't include video of the result of installing the lights by showing us how all the lights looked in front of your house after dark. :-)

    Easy to assemble and install. But after charging for 8 hours in bright sunshine they give off the light of only a match (20 lumens vs 800 lumens for a standard light bulb) and go out after only about 8 hours. Much less on cloudy days. Good for only decorative lighting.

    I installed mine today. At first the lights were not staying on when I would put the solar part right side up. They finally turned on and one light is now not on. I took the tab out from underneath and made sure they were in full sun for 12 hours. Is there something else I need to do to ensure they light up and stay on? Also I noticed that you took off adhesive from the top but could not figure out how to take mine off. Do you think that could be the problem? And how do you take adhesive off?

    • @UltimateTechHub
      @UltimateTechHub  Před 2 lety +1

      The film on top of the solar panel needs to cone off so the solar will fully charge. Give the lights a couple of days to get charged from the sun. They should work just fine. Thank you for watching.

    On the instructions of some solar lights, it says specifically not to hammer in the stakes, and to push then in by hand. His stake broke because it wasn't designed for the high forces of being hammered in. Be careful with solar lights!

      they may be sensing too much ambient light... are they closer to another light source, street light, etc ? Perhaps some weatherproof layers of cloth/mesh duct taped to the corners will help shade the sensor.
