    One option to connect your computer to your Denon AVR is to use a stereo to RCA cable. There are other options as well.
    We posted a photo of a Stereo to RCA on our website. You can visit the site and see the photo by clicking the link beneath this video you've watch. We posted the photo in a Question/Answer forum located at the bottom of the webpage. We also listed some other connection options. Thank you for asking.

  • @Allabouthomeelectronics

    Hi William. We looked up the STR-DB930. If you want to listen to music from your macintosh laptop you could probably connect to the DB930 using a "correct size Stereo to RCA" assuming you mac has a stereo headphone jack. Regarding the question on connecting stereo speakers, yes you can run into a problem if the speaker OHMs and the OHMs rating on the STR-DB930 don't equate. You risk damaging your equipment.

    Hi There,
    I would need your help to set up my Onkyo TX NR 6100 brand new l got it as a gift 4 years ago and never got to use it. Still in the box.
    I would need your help to set it up with my Bose Acoustimass 3 Series IV Speakers that have both the input that comes from the amp and the output that goes to the cube speakers at the back of the sub.
    I have two sets of the Bose Acoustimass 3 Series IV Speakers and would like to use the front and rear speaker output of the TX NR 6100 like an integrated amp for playing music as well as watching my cinema.
    Thank you for your help.

    There could be, it would depend on a number of other factors as well though; one such factor would be, but not limited to, how well each component/wire in the system is matched in capability/quality to one another.
    The difference in the quality of sound would likely be unnoticeable to most users who just want the enhancement of surround sound etc. Use of Binding posts would most often be preferred however.

  • @Allabouthomeelectronics

    A component connection reproduces a noticeably superior picture versus a composite connection. If you want to use a component connection but don't have an "component" cable on hand then you can use composite cabling in the component connectors. Just do one at a time so you match the connector hook ups like: green to green, blue to blue and red to red component and then hook up the red / white audio. (ignore the colors on your wires)

    I have a Denon AVR-2309ci Going to a Old Panasonic Plasma TV. Love the TV. What I've found is that the Denon HDMI port says "monitor out" but does not say (ARC) but the old TV Does. Are they simply not compatible ? I cant seem to get video or audio out of any configuration using HDMI Nor the Optical. I'm seriously frustrated here as I just sold my HK AVR that worked fantastic,but I wanted the HDMI upgrade. maybe the used DENON is broken??

  • @Vylkeer
    @Vylkeer Před 9 lety +7

    This is just not true. Banana Plugs are the best connections for the binding posts. Way more reliable, secure and assure a solid connection of the leads into the binding posts. There's no sound quality decrease, I'd say maybe the opposite as every filament of the copper is going to perfectly touch the internal aluminium copper of the binding post, especially if using an high quality 12 AWG 1.5mm2 cable that is way thicker and would be really difficult to attach with the regular system showed in the video.

    • @HawkFest
      @HawkFest Před 9 lety +2

      I think the emphasis was for people who wouldn't be ready to throw out 7+ bucks out of their wallet, for each plug. A ridiculous price for a little guyzmo produced in chain and high qty for cheap cents... Of course the banana plug is great, but one can still have a comparable (if not better) quality without using these. IMHO that was the point, and to make his point he used the generalization that each contact point of a circuit degrades the signal, even infinitesimally for banana plugs. A generalization which is true for many other applicative fields involving electrical analog and numerical "pass-through" technologies (or any other "system" at large : the more you add parts to some system, the more you induce potential points of failure). One just has to make sure that the "direct" contact entails all the little wires at the base, which can be difficult... But anyways the field formed by a group of cylindrical/adjacent conductive wires (twisted together between thumb and index), makes up for a cleaner (and more stable) signal than each little wire taken individually. It's not like each little wire contains a specific "information" (cut one and you'll still have a good _signal_).

      @andybroberg7946 Před 8 lety +1

      theyre wayy cheaper noew and at the time of uur post . just incase ur interested in using; more competition once thery got popular with the mainstream.and banana plugs are great; either way works, just ask yourself: if youre gona be switching wires easily then banana; but not going banana will not mattter to the people who arent audiophiles. im an audiophile and prefer bplugs :) if tthe system is good enough to warrant them ofc.
      value is king. and ebay the plugs instead of paying premiums if u can chill... unless u find good deals or want/need it now sure, brick and mortar. but you know that im sure :)

    • @HawkFest
      @HawkFest Před 8 lety

      Andy Broberg
      If you switch often, yeah it's a great solution, but if not... BTW It's not a matter of «to be or not to be an audiophile» lmao! That's a ludicrous marketing misperception: as mentioned in my previous post, it's essentially a simple matter of science (conductivity), period. If they get (much) cheaper, well then yes it would be a great and effective solution to contemplate seriously, when one isn't so versed into electronics soldering nor capable to effectively "twist" coper wires together (or doesn't have the "valuable" time to do so). In the mean time, there are other ways to get as good if not better contacts.

    • @Allabouthomeelectronics
      @Allabouthomeelectronics  Před 5 lety

      Short answer? Yes.
      Longer answer? Our opinion: that by purchasing such a device you might not be fully happy with the purchase because the signal limitations could prove to be significant. In certain situations you'd hear sound but not in a true surround sound format and in other situations you likely still won't hear sound.
