  • Super Multicoated Takumar 55mm F1.8 Review | Vintage Lens with Bubble and Swirly Bokeh
Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel! In this video, I review one of my favorite vintage lenses, the Super Multicoated Takumar 55mm F1.8. Is it a personal favorite? Let’s find out!
    📸 Lens Overview:
The construction of this lens is solid and hefty at 216g, featuring a robust metal and glass build with a rubber focusing ring. For this review, I’m shooting wide open at f/1.8 to truly test its capabilities.
    🌟 Bokeh Quality:
Wide Open: Creates beautiful bubble bokeh with specular highlights, perfect for adding that dreamy effect to your photos.
Stopped Down: Produces pentagon-shaped bokeh, a unique characteristic not often seen in modern lenses.
Swirly Bokeh: Under the right conditions, you might even get a bit of swirly bokeh, reminiscent of the famous Helios lenses.
    👤 Portrait Performance:
With its close focusing distance and stunning bokeh effects, this lens excels in portrait photography. The bubble bokeh in the background adds an interesting and pleasing effect to your shots.
    Gear Used:
    Camera: Canon 6D
Lens: Super Multicoated Takumar 55mm F1.8
