    I just purchased my wheels from discount tires. Purchased from them and installed with warranty. They even offered a warranty for my tires on my Ram even though the tires came with my truck. As you know when it comes to the Ram 5th Gen you have to be careful with the wheel weights when installing 18 inch wheels. They took care of EVERYTHING. And they were so nice. I’m a big fan of discount tire now.

    Just bought a set for my wife's F150. Their 3 peak mountain snow rating is a big plus for those of us living in the snow belt. She had General Grabber ATX;s which I only have great things to say about. We'll see how these compare.

    Nice. I'm going from a 275/55R20 (31.9") to a 285/65R20 (34.6") on my 2021 Ram 1500. With a 1" factory lift and 2" front level kit. It's about the biggest tire that will fit without rubbing without going to a bigger lift.
    I really like the wildpeak AT3WA's that came on the truck. Got 56k miles on them.
    Now I'm picking up the AT4W's hopefully next week.
    I can't stand the low profile. Bent a rim on the Interstate this last winter and got a flat at 3am.
    Getting that extra 1.35" of sidewall will be nice for absorbing bumps and road hazards a little better.

    Discount is def the best out for sure. I use them as well. I love their warranty and service. I have a set of goodyear ultraterrains on my f250 and i experience the same issue picking up what seems to be half of the gravel on any given road and it seems to hold them just long enough to eject them once your going 65-70mph and then you get to hear them shoot out like rockets. Very annoying. I maybe have around 6k on them. They ride really well in dry and wet conditions and they do well in snow. I havent been in enough mud to really say how they do in mud. They also tow very well. Very quiet tire and ill say for the cost im sayisfied. I am a falken wildpeak fan as well so that my be my next choice if i decide to change. I think the gravel issue is an issue with alot of all terrain tires in general unfortunately

    At what tire pressure did you have them set as you drove away from the tire shop. Curious how they set them initially compared to what you have been running size wise on the truck as at least in theory they should be able to be run at a slightly lower pressure due to their air volume ( based off of your axle weights and using tire inflation charts as a guideline )

  • @Bacnow

    • @Bacnow
      @Bacnow Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@4-LOW - 4%!!! For me (285/70/18) it was a 15% - 18% jump in the weight of a load “C” rated tire over competing load “E” rated tires! While i agree that the Falken’s are the better all-around tire, it’s still a noticeable difference in unsprung weight!
      Falken AT4 (load C - 69 pounds) vs Nitto Ridge Grapplers (Load E - 58 pounds) vs. Toyo AT3 (load E - 56 pounds)
      I’m leaning towards the Toyos based primarily on that factor!
