It was truly great to get the opportunity to photograph this surprise special event at King George’s Hall, Blackburn with Liam Gallagher.
Date: Wednesday, 27th April 2022.
Here are a selection of the photos and some drone footage I took, some taken on the night and some photos from the previous day. These are of the extra ticket *200 tickets released on a first come first served basis. (*Which was a great way to ensure the was a large local presence there.)
It was part of a collaboration between the singer-songwriter and Adidas Spezial, who are launching a new trainer with Liam's initials in the name.
The excellent local Blackburn band The Illicits were more than well received as the support act.

The gig was kept secret until mid-April when 2000 tickets were raffled, with all proceeds going to a local charity; Nightsafe.
Nightsafe was set up in 1990 by a group of local people, with the aim of alleviating the plight of homeless and vulnerably housed young people within the borough of Blackburn with Darwen and surrounding areas.
The highlight for me was Liam dedicating his track ‘Once’ to the Blackburn Rovers fans present, referencing their 1994/95 Premiership win.
The drone footage and still photography is mine, and the footage at the end of this was taken was also taken by myself.
*The song ‘Everything’s Electric’ is isn’t the live version from the night, this is a recorded version.*
