Omg.. I've never seen Graham Bonnet singing this young. He not only has some of the best pipes around but his voice is melodic. He is gifted. Love him. Definitely can hear the Bee gees vibe in the song writing. Good stuff!

"Only one Woman" - written by Barry, Robin, Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees. Recorded by the Group Marbles, singer Graham Bonnet born in Lincolnshire, England, he lives I think now in Los Angeles, California. Great voice, great song.

Grham was there when it was written, and recorded it first (at the request of the brothers Gibb). He says that his career would not exist if it weren't for that night.

Hey my man..love you reaction channel, and you're reaction IS justified; Graham Bonnet is one-of-a-kind. Countless singers all around the world would love to have his vocal ability, he just powers those high notes like nobody else and even as an "oldy" he can still belt out incredible notes. Check out a more recent version of this song.

Glad you liked it as I was a fan in the 60's and still get goose bumps when I hear The Marbles singing this song. He does sing it quite effortlessly.

The wonderful Graham Bonnet - he's a bit of an odd bod, but you can't argue with that voice. There is an interview with him somewhere on CZcams after his Rainbow years where he talks about and demonstrates his voice. I was so in love with him during Rainbow❤

Another great singer who isn't as highly regarded as he should be. He's been in a few bans such as Alcatraz, Michael Schenker group and even the Japanese metal band Anthem. But you've probably heard him before, singing the hit Since You've Been Gone with the group Rainbow. He apparently got fired on the first night of the Tour for the album, it had some great tracks though. I'd recommend All Night Long and Lost In Hollywood.
    Cheers

Graham did whole the tour with Rainbow ( you can find also a lot of bootlegs on CZcams plus live at Donington) and he left during the sessions of Difficult To Cure. He was fired from MSG after an infamous drunk night

Graham Bonnet is Scottish, but had a big hit in Australia in 1977 or 78 with Warm Ride (also written by the Bee Gees). It has a rather fabulous disco sound, with Bonnet's huge voice soaring over the top.

Would be interested to see you review some of his stuff with Michael Schenker Group (Assault Attack) from the 80s or something from his newest record (Uncle John or Imposter), which he just put out at age 74. Live videos with Graham are hit and miss across his whole career because of the way he sings. More power than nuance. When he's on, he's on.
FYI back in the 60s, bands would play Top of the Pops and Ed Sullivan and stuff, and they would usually perform to a studio version of the track. Super common back then, which you note about Soul Train.

Bonnet is pronounced like that thing women wear on their heads.
Also, I think the terrible production is typical of European television back then, which was awful.

Everything on TV was done that way at the time (and well into the 1980's). Lyp synching to the recording. No more than two cameras. Verry little in the way of a background.
