  • Checks before hitting the road on the two wheeler.
    I've got a new camera and I'm editing on Premier Elements 11 for the second time. Thought I'd try all this out on my ride for the first time.

    Riding the Wing I find it's important to do Pre Checks. Thankyou for sharing ECSi.

      Thanks for watching the video and the reply. I found that you can ride the bike such long distances in comfort that it was easy not think about the kinds of things that spoil a trip. The video was a reminder for me and hopefully others.

    Quel est l'année de votre vélo pour ajuster la suspension avant avec de l'air moi j'ai un 1995 et il n'y a pas de valve pour l'air

    • @repairsecrets
      @repairsecrets  Před rokem

      Mon vélo est un 1993. Je pense qu'ils ont supprimé l'air et sont passés à des ressorts progressifs à la place, mais ce n'est qu'une supposition.

      I guess I've done it wrong for more than fifty years and two bikes riding more than 130,000 miles in total.

    how much airpreassure in the back fork when two riders and some cargo?

    • @repairsecrets
      @repairsecrets  Před 3 lety +1

      It depends on the total weight. My wife and I are about 200 pounds each and I run at about 38 pounds without cargo. If we are loaded for a trip of a few days, I'll adjust it up to about 42 pounds. I try to make it just enough to not bottom out the rear suspension.

    Instructive video but do you have checked the battery level and the brake pads?

    • @repairsecrets
      @repairsecrets  Před 6 lety +2

      I would usually check the brake pads at the start of the riding season. I check battery fluid levels when I change engine oil.

    How much air did you put into the front shocks ? Nice video also !

    • @repairsecrets
      @repairsecrets  Před 4 lety

      At the time of shooting the video I was putting about six to eight pounds in the front shocks. When I had to rebuild them I found that someone had put progressive springs in and didn't have the fluid levels correct. After the rebuild, I didn't need any air pressure at all and it changed the ride and handling significantly for the better.
