In '74 we moved to Allentown. My parents rented a house on Hamilton Street, about half a block up from the A&P. I attended Union Terrace Elementary school. In '75 we moved to a house across from the Masonic Temple and about 50 yards from West Park. Allentown was really nice back then. I've heard nothing but bad things about it now. Very sad.
Sad how Bethlehem went from a nice place to live , to a overpriced garbage dump today.Bethlehem and Allentown will never be what it once was.Never !!!All we are left with are the memories. Now , both towns are over crowded and prices are too high.Im just being honest

Why couldn't it stay the same?
It was cheaper to purchase steel from overseas. The industry collapsed and like a lot of towns and cities in North America, it was left to rot.
