Doctor Who?
Doctor Who is a British science-fiction television programme broadcast by the BBC since 1963. The programme depicts the adventures of a Time Lord called the Doctor, an extraterrestrial being who appears to be human. The Doctor explores the universe in a time-travelling space ship called the TARDIS. The TARDIS exterior appears as a blue British police box, which was a common sight in Britain in 1963 when the series first aired. With various companions, the Doctor combats foes, works to save civilisations, and helps people in need.
Beginning with William Hartnell, many actors have headlined the series as the Doctor. The transition from one actor to another is written into the plot of the show with the concept of regeneration into a new incarnation, a plot device in which a Time Lord "transforms" into a new body when the current one is too badly harmed to heal normally.
A series of special episodes will air to celebrate the programme's 60th anniversary. The episodes were written by Russell T Davies, and will be broadcast on BBC One in November 2023, preceding the following fourteenth series. David Tennant will appear as the Fourteenth Doctor before Ncuti Gatwa takes over as the Fifteenth Doctor. Catherine Tate was also confirmed to be returning to the show in the 2023 specials.
The three specials were directed by Rachel Talalay, Tom Kingsley and Chanya Button respectively. Filming moved from Roath Lock Studios to Wolf Studios once Bad Wolf became a co-producer of the series; filming commenced in May 2022, and was complete
David Tennant will appear as the Fourteenth Doctor before Ncuti Gatwa takes over as the Fifteenth Doctor. Catherine Tate was also confirmed to be returning to the show in the 2023 specials. Yasmin Finney joined the cast for the anniversary, to portray a character named Rose. Bernard Cribbins, Jacqueline King and Karl Collins are also set to return as Wilfred Mott, Sylvia Noble and Shaun Temple, respectively.
The Fourteenth Doctor is the current incarnation of the Doctor, the fictional protagonist of the BBC science fiction television programme, Doctor Who. The Fourteenth Doctor is portrayed by Scottish actor, David Tennant, who previously portrayed the Tenth Doctor.
Within the series narrative, the Doctor is a millennia-old, alien Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey, with somewhat unknown origins, who travels in time and space in their TARDIS, frequently with companions. At the end of life, the Doctor regenerates; as a result, the physical appearance and personality of the Doctor changes.
There’s something very satisfying about a person showing you their Dalek collection and explaining all the slight variations and custom modifications
Thanks dude! I'm glad you enjoyed the video 😎
@@SameSonicDifferentCaseI finally got the rc 12 or 13 inch product enterprise red movie dalek
My Absolute Favourite Dalek
@@SameSonicDifferentCaseI love the red one
Very fine custom work indeed, when i saw the wide shot I thought "huh, when did they release a Cushing Dalek set?" As an aside, the similarity between the New Series Daleks and the movie Daleks always really strikes me. They could easily pass as an intermediate stage between the classic and Time War Daleks.
Impressive collection, over 20 drones that's very mesmerising, looks very substantial
This guy just rocks ... the ultimate Dalek Collector!
I love both of these Dalek movies tbh. I think the 2nd movie is better overall but the first has better designs for the Daleks imo.
My favourite Dalek from the second movie is the Red and silver Section leader Dalek, it’s a beautiful combination of colours and I love how the red extends to the lip of the Daleks fender. My only nitpick with its design is that it should have had blue dome lights instead of red, just to make it stand out a bit more.
My least favourite Dalek from the 2nd movie is the Gold supreme, I think it’s a downgrade from the design of the supreme of the first movie. I’m also not too keen on the black and gold and silver Commander Dalek it lacks something that the previous black Dalek had.
However, that being said I do appreciate that for the second movie they fixed the issue of the flashing dome lights, as in the first movie the Daleks dome lights would flash even when the Daleks weren’t talking (defeating the purpose of them).
Overall two brilliant movies that remain iconic to this day. A very good showcase review btw. You have a very soothing cadence to your voice and you are just so fun and cheery. xx
Thank you for your comment and kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. 🤘
Love Movie Daleks, the best. I started collecting the RC models but they were selling £200 boxed and apparently new. I have a number of the NSD's, Davros 12" ones but they either broke very easily or never worked. I think they are over priced now, when they came out in 2006-2008 they were around £30.
Now I'm curious to see how you'd do the Daleks in The Curse of Fatal Death
Yas now that's what im talking about I love these
Thanks man, I’m glad you like them! 😎
@@SameSonicDifferentCase btw when is genisis coming out
@@the_golden_gecko Haha I’m not too sure at the moment man, but I’ll keep you updated 😎
@@SameSonicDifferentCase got to ask how did you remove the dome lights
@@the_golden_gecko Well since I didn't need the original ones that were on the Daleks I just pulled them off with some pliers 😉
The paint on these customs looks neater than some official releases, very nicely done.
Also, the extending arms are really cool, love to see that on the official sets.
8 year old me would have had a field day with today's availability of toys.
When I saw the DAPOL daleks in the BBC shop my jaw dropped. almost immediately the eye stalks broke off. The Dr WHO toys were crap back then
Brilliant
This is very impressive, all I've got is 4 of the Mechanus Daleks and two are sealed, I'm too poor to afford the customs lol, or even buy more Mechanus daleks at this point, they're stupid expensive
Wow that’s a lot of daleks I am looking forward to remembrance will u include the emperor davros
Thanks dude! Yes Emperor Davros will be there 😉
They look amazing. Do you do requests?
Man, do you do comissions? These are great!
That's amazing, a big collection, this is just a batch, but i have a question on one of these? Have you ever made the red topped dalek yet?
Thanks for watching dude! Yes, love the red topped Dalek, I have got one but I haven't done a video of it yet, but I might film that one next 😉
" Take the prisoners to the spaceship..Move! "
Really neat customs. How do you take the mesh sections off and on these dalek figures?
Thank you mate! The best way is to remove the base, unscrew the dome, take off the dome, slide the neck rings and neck mesh off.
Then just boil the kettle and fill a measuring jug up with boiling water, pop the Dalek in the water for around 30 seconds after that take it out and you’ll be able to stretch the mech off of the top of the Dalek.
To get it back on just pop the mesh into the jug of hot water for around 30 second and take it’ll out then you’ll be able to stretch it back on 👍
Not the right shade of blue orbs...
Yeah I know I mentioned that aha. Did you hear your shoutout? 😉😂
@@SameSonicDifferentCase hahaha that was awesome, as sylvester in power of the doctor said "always one, has to be different"
@@theentity5201 I thought you’d like that aha 😉😂 and I wanted to paint the hemispheres to be a closer match to what we see on screen, but at the same time the thought of painting them all was putting me off aha. 😂
So many daleks it’s so unfair to the others who didn’t any
Plenty on eBay 😎🤙
