- In Outer Space was a compilation film originally released in 1981. It was the second in a series of three films comprised of two Thunderbird episodes, spliced together into a single feature.

0:53 I love this version of the Thunderbirds theme tune. Epic at 1:32 and 2:57.
I spotted other Gerry Anderson vehicles in these credits:
- Fireball XL5
- Angel Interceptor (Captain Scarlet)
- Eagle Transporter (Space: 1999)
In order of appearance:
TB1; Hawk (guest ship from Space: 1999 episode "War Games"); Bomber (also from Space: 1999 "War Games"); Angel Interceptor from Captain Scarlet; TVR-17 (guest ship in Captain Scarlet episode "White as Snow"); Eagle transporter from Space: 1999; TB3; Deltan Battleship (guest ship in Space: 1999 "The Last Enemy); Fireball XL5.
I believe I still have this video on vhs tape .
And Stingray was "invaders from the deep" titled vhs tape.Purchased in New York from the video shack stores .During the betamax and Vhs formatted tape days.
I do have both Captain Scarlet compilation films, Vs the Mysterons and Revenge of the Mysterons from Mars, both the Channel 5 Video and Polygram Video versions. They are in the wrong order, with Revenge of the Mysterons being released first and Vs the Mysterons coming second!
The Thunderbirds compilation films didn't always work, Sun Probe was an early episode and Ricochet was one of the last. The Tracy island lounge is different in the last 6 episodes and Virgil had a different voice actor. The Virgil puppet is also different in the last 6 episodes and 2 films, more different than any of the other replacement puppets
Countdown to Disaster did the same thing. Featured "Terror in New York City" from Series 1 and "Atlantic Inferno" from Series 2 where Virgil's voice, the interior sets and puppets change in that too. The episodes in Thunderbirds to the Rescue "Trapped in the Sky" and "Operation Crash-Dive" felt more connected cuz of Fireflash.
These compilation films were interesting, though I do prefer to stick with the original episode formats. Mainly cuz they cut scenes out from the films that were in the episodes. Either due to time or didn't seem relevant to the plot. And also I did find the additional music in certain scenes a bit over the top. Like in this film (during the "Ricochet" segment) when Thunderbird 2 returns to Tracy Island after diverting the space station away from the oil refinery. For some reason they added dramatic scoring as Thunderbird 2 lands and reverses back into the hanger.
Are you also gonna do the intro and outro of the 'Thunderbirds to the Rescue' VHS?
I do have that video but sadly due to copyright I can't post it at all. I've tried so many ways to get around it but CZcams just won't have it.
@@SeriousJoe that's a shame
