    If you are a victim of domestic abuse, please reach out to someone for help. Please call the national domestic abuse hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE. That’s 1-800-799-7233 or go to thehotline.org to chat with someone online. The great thing about this website is that, at any time, hitting the escape key twice will instantly take your browser to a google search page. In the event the abuser is nearby, you can ensure that you don’t get caught trying to get help.
    If you are having feelings of harming yourself or someone else or even just need someone to talk to, please contact your local mental health facility, call 911 or call Mental Health America who operate the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK. That’s 1-800-273-8255. They’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

    My ex and I were looking for a place to stay cause of some drama with our roommate. Crystal offered for us to move in with her. Said her house was lonely since her father passed. We said we'd think about it, but we were leaning towards no cause she lived to far from Augusta for our jobs. Well, she came to Augusta to see her mom and stopped by. I didn't know her, but my ex went to school with her. She seemed pretty... Off... Kinda manic and disorganized. She just kinda ruined me the wrong way. We declined because of work. She said the invitation was open.
    My ex and I had been broken up for a few months and she sent me a news article. My jaw hit the floor. Cops came and got a statement from us cause our number popped up two days after the murder and saw she came to hang out with us when she came to Augusta. Absolutely blew our minds... REALLY glad we passed up that offer...

With therapy and three stays in a short term psychiatric hospital I learned more about myself and coping skills to deal with how I was feeling. Also I moved out to live in several mental health housing agencies and today I’m living on my own, no longer needing the help of mental health housing. I still attend therapy and I’m on my medication. The point is there are alternatives to dealing with having a mental illness, some even have happy endings like mine. I’m glad you made the choice to separate, you’re doing the right thing. My ex had me brainwashed and convinced for years that although he was probably abusive, didn’t care for me, narcissistic and uncooperative in every way but that he was probably mentally I’ll and should feel guilt for abandoning a sick person. The guilt made it hard to leave for a long time, but he was a liar. When you separate from an abuser is the most dangerous time because you’re breaking their control over you and they don’t view you as a person. You are an object to do with what they want and how can an object leave them? It obviously is intolerable to their frail psyche and they sometimes hurt or kill the partnering trying to leave. Just please be careful and have a safety plan in place whenever you leave your home, or going to and from work. Make sure you have others around you and don’t let them isolate you. Even if in a few weeks they pretend like they are ok and “let’s meet and hang out I’m totally not upset about the breakup”. Don’t fall for it. Don’t believe it. It’s most likely a lure and unless you have someone with you don’t do. Keep and save any threatening texts , calls or voicemails. Document anything you can just in case. You made the first step but it might not be over, my ex continued to stalk and harass me for FIVE long years! I thought it was never going to end , but it did. Finally. You’re freedom is here, you made it

The week they told him he would not get it, he had a breakdown at work. He was found under his desk crying. It didn’t help that him and i never really got along or agreed on much. I sent him home and told him to
    Take a few days off. During one of those days he committed suicide. I always wondered if it crossed his mind to come to work and do more before committing suicide. I’m thankful he did not and kept the injury to himself. He crosses my mind often, I felt bad for the whole situation.

(Tyler weighed 3lbs 10oz, I weighed 2lbs 10oz) Both smaller and born 2 months early as opposed to 1 month. I too have suffered from mental illness and substance abuse from a young age. My parent's are both still married and did everything in their power to get me help even when I didn't want it. The difference....I DIDN'T GO ON TO KILL MY PARENT'S!!! I'd say that untreated or UNDER treated mental illness in combination with substance abuse were the main causes he committed murder. NOT because he was premature and it caused him mental and physical problem's. It was just an easy excuse.

    As far as your assumption about ecstasy always being a mellow drug, in my experience this is not always the case. I used to work security at raves and I heard a statistic once that even though most people get happy and mellow when they are "rolling", one out of every thousand people has a violent reaction when they take ecstasy. I have seen it happen where this one time a big guy, he looked like a football player, was running around the rave just punching people in the face and then laughing and going about his way. As security we had to deal with this guy and it was not easy. I also had a friend who I knew who was a trained fighter who when we were offered ecstasy at a music festival, he told me that it gave him violent urges so he just never took that drug. Also sometimes gangsters in the hood will take ecstasy (Thizz). This does not stop them from getting violent when the occasion arises. The way I had it explained to me was that ecstasy makes things you like feel even better. So if you really like to be violent, then the Ecstasy is just going to make being violent more enjoyable.

      I also believe age should have no factor in the punishment. Public executions should be brought back and I think a lot of these awful acts would stop real fast. If I had done 1/100th of what these kids kids, let’s say I wouldn’t be breathing plus my dear momma raised us up in church and we worked hard and she’s a nurse and I am a medical scientist and I raised my kids the same way and they got their azz’z busted, ate soap, extra chores etc. when God is left out of child rearing, trouble is bound to happen. Actually, Xanax can make you feel quite apathetic. It's like you're just "there", able to go about life without any anxiety or emotion about what you're doing...which is why it can be helpful for people with severe anxiety. I'm sure there's a better way to explain it, but that's been my experience.

    • @OddJames
      @OddJames Před 2 lety +5

      It will definitely take the edge off and let someone do something more calmly that would otherwise cause higher levels of adrenaline and anxiety but something like Xanax is definitely a temporary calm it's the mood stabilizers and side effects of stuff like Zoloft that makes people feel like sedated numb static in the brain not like themselves etc.
      Xanax would take the edge off and allow someone to get the courage to do something they wouldn't normally do and like a lot of drugs they amplify what people most likely wouldn't do whilst sober.
      I suffer from mental illness and I will never understand how humans can do such things to each other. That's why I watch this content to try and learn the psychology behind it but regardless of their motivation I will never understand how people could easily take someone else's life.
