I eagerly await your comparison between similarly products.

It's gonna be a great video!

Very impressive device, I especially like the cascading feature however it is out of my price range. Is it possible to connect 2 lower priced conference microphones to a laptop for a hybrid zoom meeting? I am currently using one TONOR Conference USB Microphone, Omnidirectional Condenser PC Mic for Video Conference but it doesn't always pick up the sound from the farthest speakers at the large table. Thanks for your always excellent videos.

I think it will not work with devices that don't have this kind of cascading feature built in. Another solution would be to use a mixing desk, but it's not necessarily budget-friendly.

do you think it might be possible to have speakers put out slight background music while still record people in a room? looking for a rather "cheap" possibility to record 5 people at a (much smaller than your test room) table.

How does SPACE MAX compare to other speakerphone and music playing devices?

      That's a future video idea!

How does the audio sound with multiple people talking at the same time like many meetings are?

    •  Před 9 měsĂci

If two people are having a conversation in the room, it does seem to pick up that quite nicely. But I haven't tested with multiple people literally speaking at the same time.

Our meeting room is approximately 30' x 40', with the ceiling ~ 12' or so. The audience sits in stackable metal chairs. In a larger room like this, is there a difference in microphone pickup quality if the device is on a tripod, compared to resting on a table?

    •  Před 7 měsĂci

I don't think the position makes a difference like that, since this is not a boundary microphone (those use the table for their acoustics).

@ Based partly on your review, I bought one of these for our camera club hybrid meetings held in the big room described above. All of the members who regularly attend virtually said that for the first time they could hear all of the speakers in the room very clearly. I am very pleased. Beyerdynamic also seems to have eliminated the echo distortion that is common to that situation. A couple of minor points-- in my testing, which was not exhaustive, there seemed to be points where the microphone pickup was poor. If you picture the mics placed on a clock face at 10:30, 1:30, 4:30, and 7:30, there is a spot at 12:00 about 10 feet away from the device where the perceived sound clarity is poor. Presumably also at 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00, but I didn't test that. Secondly, I'd like to be able to increase the maximum speaker volume a bit. All in all, though, those are trivial points for us, and the device was worth the price for our purposes. Thank you for bringing it to my attention!
