- On March 14th I auditioned as a character performer for Disney World and I made it until the end which meeeaaannnns I'm in consideration for performing!! Nothing is official, but I'm super excited about the possibility of this new adventure.

As a creative consultant for Walt Disney Imagineering and Walt Disney Entertainment, this is so meaningful for me. You are so incredible and it’s all about what they need on that day. I help create the audition requirements for specific calls such as Peter Pan & Wendy for my Tokyo projects and have spent so much time on the “other side of the table”. After the movement and animation cuts, I have to add in our specific strength tests I need to teach them to “fly”. I just have to say that I love your perspective on the process and you deserve so much!!

I know this video is a year old but I came back to watch it again and it’s something I really needed right now. I think I’ve actually worked with you and Elsa a few times (I’m photopass) but I’ve never actually talked to you. “I didn’t think I could be good enough to do something like this” really hit HARD. Your words put me to tears because I feel the exact same way you did and to see where you are now is truly inspiring.

I just had my first successful audition on October 6th and I’m SO PUMPED! I feel you on the thinking you aren’t good enough to even be considered for the role, but when you make it, it really shocks you! Love this video and I’m so excited to finally understand the feeling of getting through the audition:)

Congratulations! I have an audition on about a week! I’m very very excited and very nervous. I feel i am very short, like that they would not like me at all! But I’m still going to go I think it would be an amazing experience, and if I won’t make it this time I’ll try another time!.

Yes you can get into big trouble if you share it on social media, you can’t tell family or friends or anyone what character your gonna be because it ruins the magic, your not allowed to tell anyone what you was up too, your not allowed to speak about Disney out of work and your not allowed to talk about anything outside of Disney when working, they are very strict with these rules

I'm attending an audition this weekend and I'm sooo nervous about it. It's general casting for Characters/Star Wars! The biggest thing I'm worried about is my hair and how that might send the wrong impression- I've cut it pretty short and buzzed the sides :( Is that a big red flag immediately?

I’m a sophomore in high school and this is literally my biggest dream. I doubt myself too like you did. I’m always scared that when I do get to finally audition when I’m 18 that they will have some reason to cut me. Some days I think positive and I’m so excited and I think I got this! But other days I’m nervous and I think that I might weigh too much or I might not look like a character and I’m not even old enough to audition yet. I know that I can do it because I have been watching these audition videos forever and I literally know everything about the audition process and everything about being a character look alike. I can’t wait to audition and I know I can get the job I just need to be confident when I’m 18
this is when i started dreaming of being a performer, too. it's a rollercoaster that's for sure, but never stop believing in yourself. it might not happen the first time you audition (it didn't for me), but that absolutely does not mean you can't become a performer. miracles happen, girlie, sometimes they just take a little time :)

Congratulations, that must have been such a stressful and exciting day!!! So this is more out of curiosity, but for lookalike roles they're obviously just looking at your face, not your hair, so when you went to costuming to get fitted for possible friends that you could hang out with, did the casting directors have you put wigs on too? or just the dresses/outfits?

I turn 17 in a few days and I just keep thinking one year until my first Disney audition haha. This is my dream and has been since I was a freshman I think about it almost everyday. I’ve been following you for awhile and I’m so happy for you that your dream came true! It’s amazing to know that it actually possible. I always have doubts like you said I always think my eyes are too small or nose is too big. I want to ask you about how you stayed positive and kept going? And also in your opinion if they are only looking at appearance when they make cuts or do they consider personality and how you would be as a performer as well? I feel like a lot of people say it’s solely appearance based. Sorry so many questions!! It drives me crazy thinking about it sometimes. But congrats this is amazing :)

Cassidy Patz hi!!! Thank you so much for the kind words 😊 I have A LOT of freckles so I did a full coverage foundation and a simple eye look, lots of liner and mascara to make my eyes pop!! Nothing too crazy, but enough to cover imperfections and showcase my features 😊
@@ErinToomey did you do winged liner and wear bronzer or did you try and keep your skin looking as fair as possible for the roll? Can you do an audition makeup video? Sorry for so many questions I'm just finally of age to start auditioning, so I am continuing (and have for the past 8 years lol) researching everything out there!!

Do you know what the maximum size is for the Disney princesses dresses? I’ve auditioned a couple times and feel like I never get picked cuz of my weight. I’m a bit insecure about it! :/ but I’m going to keep trying!!
Just curious when you pass the audition do they help you travel down to Florida, like do they cover cost and moving of travel?

Is it true if you are accepted (and already accepted as part of the DCP), that no matter what - that they first start you as a ‘fur’ character or can you be told immediately that you are a face character (before starting your DCP)? Makenzey Brazie nope! You should wear something athletic, and look up resumes for people without past jobs!

Ana Rita Vanzeller So it is a experience where you and others in college get to work at Disney with something similar to what you are studying, whether that is food, merchandise, etc. Both of my parents did it and loved it!! I am planning on doing it too.

yep! they all stand in a line on the wall and watch you. unless all of you guys are dancing at the same time
Was this audition the disney look-a-like posted for Elsa? I remember seeing that one posted on the website. Also, if it was, did they fit for other characters besides the queen or exclusively her? I am just wondering because I saw that posted, but I have brown hair and don't necessarily look exactly like Elsa, so I was wondering if you should go anyways and If they ended up fitting for multiple other characters not otherwise stated on the website.
if you think you qualify (meet the height requirements, etc. [use your best judgement lol]) for an audition, I recommend taking the chance and going!!

you have to be 18 or older. It's whenever they have an opening or whenever you feel like you're ready
I wish I can audition to be a face character but I know that they won’t want an asian 5”9 female. 😔😔
