It’s time for a GT drag race!
Mat’s in the Porsche 911 GT3, and he’s lining up against Yianni in the Bentley Continental GT! Now when you’re looking at this line-up, you might be wondering why we’ve bothered to put these cars against each other. But once you see the stats, it should all become a bit clearer!
The Continental GT is the clear winner when it comes to absolute power, with its 6-litre W12 twin-turbo producing 635hp & 900Nm of torque! So that may be well less than what the GT3 can produce, with its 4-litre flat-six producing 500hp & 460Nm, but there is one major advantage the Porsche has - the weight! Coming in at just 1,460kg, it weighs almost 800kg LESS than the Bentley!
Will that massive weight advantage be enough to snatch the win? You’ll have to keep watching to find out!

Bentley hits 170 and home boy is driving like hes chillin in the freeway cruising haha love that Bentley.
You can really see the difference of footage from gopros attached to the bentley vs porsche when they were doing 170. One is shaking like its on a horse and the other is like on a gimbal. 7:08 Mat in the porsche was like this car is vibrating like crazy and yianni was this is good 😂

The Bentley is seriously impressive to be able to keep up with the porsche and still have that insane amount of luxury
The problem with the brake test is the flawed nature of the test. The Bentley as a fast road car is designed to stop quickly ONCE. Its pad compound will have excellent cold bite and will allow for a single high speed emergency stop quickly. The porsche pads will need warmed up to do their best and will deliver repeat stops time after time without fading anywhere near as quickly. If you kept doing the brake test, the Porsche would win on following attempts, I'm fairly sure of it. One cold stop doesn't tell you much about the braking system IMHO, not with performance oriented cars.

Don't they both have ceramic rotors? Also that Continental have those huge 6 piston brake calipers, I think it makes sense that the Bentley stopped the shortest distance.

@@PanameraTurboSEHybrid its all about pad compound. The GT3 has a track focused pad compound. It's not going to work perfectly from cold. The Bentley will be a road compound and will melt after repeated stops. Simply having lots of pistons and a ceramic disc doesn't tell the whole story. These cars stop in very different ways.

I was surprised, I thought that the Bentley was going to be far behind but it is surprisingly fast although it is very heavy, the engineers have done an excellent job (Like the beautiful porsche)

The Porsche 911 GT3 happens to be one of the very few Driver's Car out there. Naturally Aspirated Engine, Lightweight, no gimmicky features, 6 Speed Manual, 9,000 RPM Redline. Dream Car this is for me ❤️❤️❤️

For a 6 cylinder. Nothing matches the throaty rumble of a V-8 though.
That naturally aspirated 4l 6 cylinder makes more house power than a 6l V8 how do they do that?

Just physics. The more weight, the bigger the rubber contact patch on the ground so the ABS will kick in less. Of course, you have to have very good rotors and pads to handle it, which the Bentley has.

The Continetal GT has become a truly fantastic car. Amazing GT car for long distance driving, but very capable. And that colour is stunning but it needs the white W12 motifs to finish it off.

Porsche actually owns VW by technicality. The Porsche family may have sold their automotive manufacturer to Volkswagen AG, but they pretty much own Volkswagen from an equity standpoint

I love the stealthy speed and luxury of the Bentley. Even though I do love the sound of the engine on the Porsche if I were to purchase one it would be the Bentley for me.
