Great video, I was just talking to a friend about this and he ask me for the links. Before I could get those for him I found this and just sent him your video! Another good tip is you can go into the DPS window options and add single target damage along with the default cleave damage. I found that on snowcrow's arcdps page.
Awesome, glad I could help. Great tip about being able to customise the types of damage ArcDPS shows. For HTCM I like to add overall squad DPS to the header so I can see how the squad is going as a whole.
I hope all the min-max gamers can sleep easy now that ArcDPS is updated after a week or so... :D
I can certainly sleep easier now that I didn't have to use the old version to keep it working haha.
It worked perfectly fine with the Jan 9 version. The only thing that was different was closing the update prompt once per game launch. The number of people complaining in squad chats who obviously didn't even do the diligence to give it a simple google was astounding and honestly a little bit pathetic.
Is this safe to use even i use Steam client??

I just followed this video and installed ArcDPS to my game. I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling my game because I some how it affected my game files. I don't recommend using this at all although some people seem to have zero issues. I just wish GW2 would just support an in-game damage meter so people like myself didn't feel like I have to jeopardize my account just so I don't get kicked from groups all the time
There was a patch a few days ago which broke ArcDPS (happens on most patches). In a few days when the creator is back from holiday it should work again.
I was recommended installing ArcDPS, so your video arrived to my feed at the perfect time!
I'd also like to ask, which addons would you or people in the comments use as of 2024 mainly for pve content? Are there any class-specific addons out there as well? The only addon i am currently using is Blish with pathing module enabled. Ill install ArcDPS soon.
I mainly use BlishHUD as well. Some of the more useful ones I've found are:
- Pathing like you mentioned
- Mounts and More which gives me a radial mount menu so I don't have to worry about specific hotkeys for mounts.
- Item search which lets me search for specific items across all my characters.
Is 'last combat time' option checked by default? should it be checked or no?
Really nice video. One question - what is breakbar? And another question - I understand that damage only shows for the current/last single fight you had? Does no one use it as in WoW when it shows the damage% for the entire dungeon/fractal/ride?
Thanks so much :) A breakbar is the blue bar that will sometimes appear under an target's health bar which you damage by using crowd control skills (knockdown, stuns etc). After which you stun your target and deal increased damage. I'm not aware of any setting in ArcDPS that will let you store the damage you do over an entire raid. It's really focused on only looking at individual fights.

i have no idea what im doing wrong, i had tried to do this install like 5x and still cant get it to run QQ did the download put it into the folder and ctrl+shift+t does nothing and same with ctrl+shift+h that just opens the wiz vault QQ any ideas?
I've got two questions/issues about boon table that I wasn't able to find definitive answers for. First, boon table doesn't seem to obey arcdps's "hide windows out of combat" setting. Second, will boon table update itself like arcdps?
Personally I've never used the hide windows when out of combat setting so I'm not sure how the Boon Table interacts with that. I've always just pressed alt+shift+h to hide the windows when I don't want to see them. The Boon table won't automatically update but it needs to be updated FAR less often than arcDPS. I think the last update was mid-2023.
is there a way to make it bigger? I play on 4k monitor & the UI is really tiny.
Hi , I did the download of the boon table and added it into the folder you said but it did not change once the game launched. Then I deleted it, redownloaded and added again and still no change to boon table. Any idea why?

Following the instructions on the font, I get a game crash due to graphics issue after logging in with a character...
Had to give up on Arcdps since it break on every patch and has conflicts with my Blish mod. Any tip to get auto updates and stop conflicts maybe?
Unfortunately, I don't know why it would conflict with your BlishHUD. ArcDPS now does give you a prompt when you log in and a new version has released. From there you can just click update then it downloads and restarts your GW2 client.
Arc will always break if there are significant patches and we just need to wait on DeltaConnected to update it. Unless they're on holiday they're always very quick on the update though haha.
@@connorconcarne actually went back to the topic and found what was messing up. Conflict was not with Blish as I remembered, but with ReShade I also use. Both d3d11 needed in the same folder. I found a fix on Reddit though where you place the ReShade file in a different folder under dxgi name. Works fine now. Thanks for your answer! :)

How do you make arc dps windows smaller? Boon table by its self takes up almost half the screen. Can not fin any options to change the size of everything vs just making box smaller and clipping text.
The size of my ArcDPS could be because I have a 1440p monitor which might make it appear smaller compared to a 1080p screen. If you dig into the settings you can reduce the font size which might make your life easier.
@@connorconcarne unfortunately it does seem to be tied to the resolution settings. Playing a steam deck so can't push it to much. Shame that even gw2 menues are limited to the resolution. Small just is not small enough. 😅
I can't find a way to make the window bigger. It's SUPER TINY on my screen and impossible to read and operate
Hey, improving the boon table portion isn't working. I have both the dll files on the folder right on top of each other.

New user, wtf is a break bar
Welcome to the game :) A break bar is the separate blue bar that appears under an enemy's health bar which you lower by using Crowd Control skills (stuns dazes, knockdowns etc.) Once you deplete the bar the enemy is usually stunned for a while, and you deal extra damage for a short duration.

Thanks for this! While I love ArcDPS, Anet needs to publish their own in-game DPS meter. It shouldn’t be forever up to an unpaid 3rd party dude to provide a basic MMO function. If you bought a car, would you rely on an unpaid, non-employee to be responsible for the car's speedometer? It’s really weird when you think about it.
Just pay the author a fee for their add-on and please permanently incorporate it into the game.
name one mmo that has an inbuilt dps meter...
@@bl1tzcraft Ironically, Guild Wars 2. When you go into the Special Forces Training Area and fight the golem, there's a DPS meter and you can review your performance/DPS benchmarks. This has been the case for years. So we know it's very possible to have an in-game DPS meter, they're just opting not to enable it globally, and you can only use it in that location.
I would love if Anet added their own DPS meter similar to ArcDPS (or changed their current one to be more functional). However, I doubt they will at this stage. DPS meters have always had a bit of a mixed response from different sections of the community (I'm personally a huge fan). So, I think Anet just doesn't want to touch it.
