If you make smaller pulling, and faster movement, it will be faster. 20 minutes for few inches of attachment is quite long. :) I usually take 5 min per dread attachment. :) and no oils on fresh attachment, it makes hair more slippery. Just palm roll :) Your hair is amazing. ^_^

Elise, you've inspired my look so much that recently I decided to have extensions put into my locks as well.. and you are right, having the extra length is so nice, and it is almost like having fairytale princess dreads! I just wanted to thank you so much again for your style & inspiration.. it is possible to be modern, but retro, a hippie, girly, and beautiful all at the same time. That's how I see it anyway.

You are one of the first youtubers whose dread locks I watched. I was like hyped 14yo punk with long hair that wanted dreadlocks, and I got them! Although I had to cut them off because, school... -.- Now that it's done I'm growing new bunch of hair to nake dreads again :3 loved ya from the first video, keep it up! @@emmyp644 Ironically if you look after them, they are the cleanest hairstyles you can have. This is coming from someone who has a chronic autoimmune disease
and absolutely has to keep clean for that reason. I've had mine for a year and they're super clean, it's all about how much care you put into them, as well as being mindful of
what you're doing.
Also please do research instead of just assuming. Not to mention, there's a lot of myths about dreads floating around, so that's why it's so important to do real research so you know how to do it properly and avoid getting sick.

You are the most strikingly gorgeous people I've ever seen! I'm doing research because I want to put dreads in my hair. I really like how your hair has grown out enough that it's kind of soft on the top but then you have the dreads falling around. Cannot only be achieved by growing them out or can one put dreads and not all the way to the root? It's probably a really stupid question but frankly I live in the middle of nowhere and I don't know a single person who has dreadlocks. But they are calling me and have been for years and my hair is very curly and tries to draw it up on its own so I don't think it's going to be very difficult. Thank you for so much information that you've put online it is so incredibly valuable to me because I have zero resources other than The Internet.

I have never had natural dreads before yet but I am thinking about starting my journey I have however had dread extensions several times my question is my extensions are synthetic hair could I use the same method to attach my extensions to my natural locks when I start them

Yes it actually does! It's just a bit harder since the braid in are usually synthetic hair and the crochet extension is usually human but you could do it w synthetic

Hi Elise! I want you to know I absolutely admire you! I've been wanting dreads for a long time and you have inspired me to be myself! I'm also a ginger and I'm 2 1/2 weeks into my baby locs! I have a total of 28. I'm wondering is there a way to add some fake dreads to my real ones to add some volume? I do have a lot of hair and they are fairly long. can I put mature dreaded human hair extensions into my hair as I'm starting my dread locks? I had such long dreads and chopped it all off after some trauma I experienced...my hair is now 3 to 5 inches and I want to start the process without waiting for length.

I have fine hair, I have 3 pet dreads that are made from back combing, if I want extensions I just buy thinner extensions right so they don’t look off or if I made new dreads do I add the extensions at the root or lower?

Mine shrunked also sooo mutch! They are half lenghts after a year maturing! Maybe i think also about the extensions.. but i dont know i love the short hair as well ;) they will never be so short like now! Maybe i should enjoy it 😁 But always when i see your hair im not sure if i can wait 😂
What a wonderful video! I have a question for you, how do you keep your loose hair separate from your dreadlocks? And do you have like two rows of loose hair? I have like half a head with dreads and the other half loose hair and it's really difficult to keep it separated. Mostly it's because I can't see it in guess.

Yeah, I have side bangs that are out and I'm brushing them constantly and it's difficult but I still like it

ElviraElenor I found my dread extensions on Etsy. You can choose how many you want, and depending on how many, the price is different. I got 50 dread extensions for $122

Doesnt adding the extentions break the ends of your hair. It really seems damaging to your natural hair.
Angels Haven dreads are not ment to stay super healthy. Your hairs is in knots basicly. It is going to be damaging but that's the risk you take when you get dreads :)
