The guy is not just a creator, he MUST be a consumer to understand so well, what someone might expect and want to listen to. The beat and all EDM effects even today don't feel old or out of place, now that takes some sort of monster lvl ear and touch.

why was 2005 - 2009 so dark, cold and cool, and so futuristic? everybody was a professional, every second movie was dark, moody and was filmed in dark cities with neons or lights up like the Blade Trilogy, most of Fast and Furious, the Matrix Sin City, the songs of the time were also complex, yet made sense and it felt soooo different like this one, or Britney's album which included Gimme More, Justin Timberlake's albums were also like this too... this dark and cold futuristic atmosphere NEEDS to come back. any thoughts?

Good observation. As someone who grew up in the 2000s, looking back on it you're right, everything was pretty dark and moody. Never really thought about it but I guess it was just normal to us, it was the cool thing at the time. It's like any trend of the past, it was cool and hip at the time and looking back it's either viewed as awesome or cringeworthy.
