** DISCLAIMER- I MENTIONED SALATUL TASBEEH IN THIS VIDEO AS I LEARNED IT AS A NEW MUSLIM FROM THE BOOKS OF HADITH IN ABU DAWOOD. I WOULD LATER COME TO FIND OUT THIS HADITH IS WEAK OR EVEN POSSIBLY FABRICATED SO STOPPED DOING SALATUL TASBEEH AND IT SHOULD NOT BE PERFORMED!!
I should have mentioned this in the episode but I want all of these prison tapes videos to be raw an first take productions so I missed mentioning that.
May Allah bless you all.
I went through almost the same situation except I actually did 20 years in Alabama prison system. It really makes a man appreciate those books. Allah uses prison to make good men. Also I too was the only white Muslim most of the time. I actually met two more through out the years but one I know was only seeking. Alhamdulillah my brother!
May Almighty Allah bless you brother
May Allah bless you and your family always, aameen
May Allah Bless you akh alhamdulilah for islam
Subhanallah coming from a born Muslim its crazy to see how Allah guided you.he must really love you
تقبّل الله عباداتك و دعاءك و رزقك صلاح الحال و راحة البال و الرّفقة الصًالحة و أسعدك في الدًارين ..آمين .. آمين ..🌷
SubHannaLah I was bound over as an adult when I was 15 in 1997 in Michigan and served 11 years in adult prison, do not pass go do not collect 200 dollars, no juvenile just straight to a level 4 yard. I studied Islam there and the Muslims there were some of the very best people that I had met, unfortunately they mostly all were doing terms of 20 plus years. I took my Shahaddah last week. Thank you for opening up about this. It took me another 12 plus years to overcome my institutionalization that I wasn't fully aware was even there. There is no Muslims where I live in Ohio and I learned to read and write Arabic memorized some surah and read a bunch of books when I was in there. I'm 42 now and I was absolutely FLOORED that everything I thought I forgotten our Merciful Lord made me remember it all. I couldn't tell you what I had for lunch yesterday akhi but wallahi ta ala He gave me my little knowledge back and inshallah every day and night I will learn more about the Deen. Jazakullah Khair
Beautiful story. Thank you for sharing. I just prayed for you, may Allah ease your burden. Amen
MashaAllah. May Allah always be with you
Oh wow, this is inspiring!
what did you get booked in prison for?
As salaamu alaikum brother. My situation was very similar, and it was that test from Allah azza wa jall that brought me to Islam. I didn't take my shahadah until after my release when my good friend and father started giving me dawah. Alhamdulillah! Brother some may judge our path but Allah SWT calls whom he wills. So happy you shared this!
We're honestly all in prison in this Dunya, but Inshallah we'll all get out and enjoy an everlasting life in the Akhira.
May Allah guide us to follow the sunnah until then.
Inshallah
aamiiiiiiiin.. insyallah.

Suhaib reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said:
Wondrous is the affair of the believer for there is good for him in every matter and this is not the case with anyone except the believer. If he is happy, then he thanks Allah and thus there is good for him, and if he is harmed, then he shows patience and thus there is good for him.

@Quack The Duck I disagree, but thank you for sharing your opinion.

Absolutely akhi. We strive to see the good and wisdom in all our affairs. This is the crux of the issue is to strive to see that goodness
(ﷺ)
I find it strange that someone would tell you to leave that out and say it’s not significant when it’s literally the foundation of your start to being a Muslim. Your revert story has always been one of my favorites since I reverted and it’s amazing how there’s a whole deeper part to it that we never got to hear. SubhanAllah I loved this.
I completely understand why he or anyone would leave that out in the beginning, there are a lot of very judgmental people, even Muslim. Our past should in no way determine who we are today in terms of good or bad but some people don’t yet understand the power of Allah on the human soul. Transformation is the product of our faith in Him. So ten years ago I could have been the worst of people yet today I could be among the best. You I perceive are not a judgmental person and for that I say alhamdulillah
I agree totally.
As salaamu alaykum. Im a sister, but have been a Muslim for almost thirty years, alhumduillah. I have my low days and it's usually only revert speakers that I can resonate with on another level. In sha Allah this video will help me reach out to my brother for dawah. In sha Allah. jazak Allah khair Allah khair Allah khair. I was Christian to and left around 18 years old and Allah led me to Islam a couple of years later, Alhumduillah. Alhumduillah my love for Jesus has only grown. May Allah grant you and your family success in the akhirah and the duniyah Ameen
❤
Masha allaah
Dear brother I’m glad you didn’t leave it out. You teacher was thinking about muslims but your story is extremely relevant and important to non-muslims and dawah is for non-muslims. May almighty Allah continue to bless, protect and guide you inshAllah.
That was intense! Alhumdulillah, you changed a lot for the better. May Allah preserve and protect you.
Allahumma aamiin
Salam bro. I’m a recovering drug addict. I have similar experiences. We should discuss substance abuse. Would love to be in one of your shows
I hope that you will be in one of his shows
Good idea if he starts inviting guests
Subhannallah my story is very similar to you ahk! Being in this Dunya is far more challenging than Being in sajjiin . Wallahi the Izzah we had for each other hasn't been matched in this Dunya. I'm so grateful that Allah swt guided me to Islam through that experience. Alhamdulillah ! May Allah swt continue to guide you and bless you in this Dunya with firdaus!!!
Salam alaikum. Alhumdulilah. Barakalafi ahki. I just got out three months ago after being down for 11 years. And people never understand when I say it's the best thing that's ever happened to me. Alhumdulilah Allah blessed me to end my incarceration while I was better off in my Deen than when I went in. I always say patience is so key in life as sometime you don't realize something you think Is bad for you when it is actually a blessing. There are indeed brothers out there that can benefit off your videos ahki. May Allah bless you and reward you. And hopefully you can keep making videos. Inshallah.
Yoo! Subhanallah. You have almost the same story as I do. I was locked up at the same time. Your story resonated with me so much. I would never want to go back to that place ever again, but it also shaped who I am as a person. May Allah continue to bless you brother.
I don't have money to support this channel to grow but I am giving it views, likes and share.
Everything helps!
Truly an example of Allah's amazing and endless wisdom, He ﷻ knows exactly what we need and when we need it in our lives💘
Subhan Allah, your journey to find the true path is extraordinary.
SubhanAllah, it’s so beautiful the way Allah works in mysterious ways ❤️🙏
Al-Lateef is one of Allah's names. The Subtle. Allahu Akbar
May Allah Bless you, lets avoid using the christian prayer emoji , In sha Allah. Jazzak Allahu Khairan.
I still remember your early video around 10 years ago . Alhamdulilah. I still had opportunity to listen to your story brother yusha..
“Even though my body was imprisoned, my soul and mind was free” MashAllah those are some wise words. May Allah bless you
May Allah shower u and ur loved ones in his blessings Yusha Evans..

even out of jail, it is good advice: keep a book on you at all times and you'll be good, keep social media on you at all times and you'll be dead in the water
We all have a past. Glad to see that Allah changed your heart. ALHAMDULILLAH!
Oh brother Yushua....
Wow.
Prophet Muhammad was given prophethood at the age of 40yrs of age.
I used to think ...
Many shellshocks later comes the light.

The best line..Even though my body was imprisoned..my soul was free....SubhaanAllah. May Allah bless you and your family brother. Aameen.
I absolutely loved this brother Yusha. May Allah reward you for this!
Love it bro, the new look is great. I hope you keep the content coming. I know you don't consider yourself a scholar or anything like that. But you are knowledgeable. Keep sharing that knowledge because it is power. Allah is using you to empower the Ummah. I always feel smarter as far as my deen goes after your videos/reminders. May Allah bless you, reward you, increase you, and keep you. I know you love us for the sake of Allah. Keep it up bro. Oh and MGL - To The Moon!! InShaAllah
Love the vulnerability with you talking about your life, tbh it makes you more relatable and gives ppl hope that they can turn their lives around. Being from Newark, NJ ... i can honestly say that the hoods of America, specifically on the east coast have strong, large Muslim populations, and the brother/sisterhood is way tighter than when you go elsewhere.
I love this real talk type of videos and the vibe MashaAllah! May Allah bless you with greatness always, and for your loved ones as well, Ameen.
So excited can't wait Insha'Allah

Thank you brother for your story
One dislike who tell "you shoud see the other guy".
You will start to thinking about make a movie your life. There are very strong catchy visual elements. Like walking in a prison with a prayer rug. and black belt martial artist find a job at library in jail at 18. Meet the Imam. Alhamdulillah what a test or what a gift.
Also I remembered Bakara 216 when listen part1 akhi also you remembered me much times Fussliet 33 from conversation at 2011.
Thanks akhi for everything.

Thank you for your vulnerability to help others ... Respect.
MashaAllah thank you for sharing brother. Turned a negative to a positive!
I love this so much it’s amazing that you feel like at this moment you actually feel value of breaking free of the past that just didn’t hurt you but also shaped you, I feel like some people don’t want to get that. It’s life experience not just research on a data sheet. And it’s so true in beginning how you said Muslim judge you at first so just state facts. Omg! I can totally relate. SubhaanAllah!!!! May Allah reward you.
May Allah bless you brother I love what your doing here all I can say is Alhumdullilah you inspire me

This is very powerful. Greetings to Yusha and all brothers from here in Cairo, Egypt, right before Adha.
Of all the Muslim speakers this brother is someone I truly look upto and love and wish I had an elder brother like him. He is so relatable.
Brother very Congratulation for reverting to Al siraat al mustaqeem ..you are sooo brave mashallah
There's always an advantage even in calamity.May Allah protect you brother Evans,
My Allah bless you, love the new setup
We've all got a past. Sometimes it is very lovely and sometimes it is heartbreaking.
Your story inspires those whose past is horrible to empathise.
Thank you for sharing Brother your story. It confirms Allah is the best of planners. Outwardly the world will judge and condemn you but Allah never gives up on his servant. He often breaks us to make us better people and guide us to the light.
I followed all about you since i found that famous video "How the Bible led me to Islam", but this part is amazing this part is most interesting. Thank you for sharing that with us. 18:50 when I listened to this part I literally said Subhanallah out loud even though I was alone in the room. a beautiful and powerful life story @
The moral of ur story is that:-
There's Rahmah Behind The Bars.
ALLAH loves you bro..
MasyaAllah...TabarakAllah...AllahuAkbar. I watch this video in tears...may Allah Subhanahuwataala always blessed you Brother. Salaam from Indonesia 🇮🇩
