Capcom is incredibly resourceful with their art design. Most of their textures only use color maps and normal maps unlike other modern developers. I'm not surprised they were able to fit this game on a PS4. They took the 2k background textures and reduced them by 50%. Ambient occlusion seems to be radically reduced, too. Most strikingly you can tell Leon's model has also had its shaders and even polygons reduced.

Yo que tengo PS4 pro la verdad es excelente consola es vital que esta consola cuente con una buena pantalla para poder sacarle su máximo provecho. Hace 4 meses compré tv con puerto HDMI 2.1 y la verdad al conectar mi consola en este puerto la diferencia visual si se nota y mucho. Siempre he dicho no es lo mismo ver en videos a verlo en persona y yo mismo hice una prueba de tener la PS4 fat, la PS4 Pro y la PS5 conectadas en dicho puerto y la cosa si es otra la PS4 pro lleva gran ventaja sobre la fat muy por encima.
No tiene nada que ver el 2.1 pq la ps4 pro no lo aprovecha la razon por la que se puede ver mejor es depende de la calidad del panel resolucion y la calidad del producto

Even when I put the disc in, the sound my system made was minimal and it's been silent since Edit: if anyone sees this, while the ps4 version still runs great for a game that's next gen, it's a better option to get the PS5 version. The rifle is one of the most useful items in the game and is great for higher difficulties, but it is practically unusable on ps4 due to how bad the frames drop. If you don't use one at all, you can still play through the game perfectly fine, but loading screens always take a long time too.

En este juego si se nota la gran diferencia entre la ps4 y la ps4 pro. Ya la resolución en 1080p se ve borroso a comparación de la pro y ps5. Siempre he dicho que la ps4 pro es una tremenda consola que no le sacaron el full potencial.

Tengo una misma opinión respecto a eso jajaja, la GPU de la PS4 Pro es muy buena supera en muchos aspectos a la de la Normal sin embargo no hubo muchos juegos que realmente mostrarán dicha capacidad, los pocos que de verdad mostraron eso fueron RDRll, Spiderman (a mí parecer),los GOW, los Resident que son remakes y el Village que a mí parecer es mejor jugar este último en la Pro y The Last of Us part ll, ahí en fuera los demás juegos solo mejoraban ligeramente la Resolucion

Makes no sense because it's the same engine as before and the other games that use it didn't have these limitations. RE4 is not even a game with new gen graphics, so there are no excuses. Shadows are always important, mainly in a horror game. It makes all the difference. Anyway, that's a disappointment.

To me it didn't matter what console I played it in, I just wanted to play. Fortunately I got a ps5 back in November as the only thing I was worried about was my ps4 overheating and sounding like a turbine engine.

Esperaba que con el VRR este juego superara lo 60 frame como el remke del 2 y 3, per aparantemente capcom dejo la casi la misma version de la ps4 pro. Creo que se podia sacar a la ps5 el juego es similar al remake de del 3 en graficos, ojala saquen mas tarde un pacht que desbloquee eso 60 frame con la funcion de VRR.

hyped for this game but ps5 is kind of a bummer. even on performance mode (no RT) the game still drops to the 40s in certain areas, not to mention even on my 1080p display the demo looked a little blurry. couldve used more optimization work.
Funny, because the PS4 Pro on performance mode plays just as good as the PS5 in its own performance mode. But you are right, the PS5 should be locked at 60 at all times.
I'm playing on PS5 with all the graphical bells and whistles. I personally don't mind the slowdowns in framerate so much. This game looks and plays awesome!

La versión de Playstation 4 perfectamente estuviera bien a 1080p dinámicos y 30fps, y en cuanto PS4 Pro ahí si se nota las mejoras reales en cuanto la resolución. En Playstation 5 se mira espectacular pero le hace falta más trabajo en unos aspectos

@@christianbarreto7355 Lo hacen a proposito para hacer parecer la version de PS5 como que es mejor. Cuando las texturas no tienen nada que ver con la capacidad de la maquina! En PS3 juegos como Uncharted tenían texturas increibles en algunas escenas, gracias a la gran capacidad del Blu-Ray que era exclusivo de Sony en ese tiempo. Asi que a otro con ese cuento! La PS4 es mas de capaz de trabajar con texturas de altisima calidad, es cosa de ver a God of War, de hecho lo estuve jugando en la PS4 estandar (ni siquiera la pro) hace unos días, y al volver a ver la presentación del juego, las texturas de la piel de Kratos es una cosa impresionante!
Es una lastima que no haya version de Xbox One, la PS4 lo corre muy bien para ser Old Gen, en el futuro Xbox One también se merece su versión de este Remake

Lo malo del juego es un bug al entrar al inventario se joden las texturas pasa en todas pero en ps4 tarda mucho en cargar la textura por que juegue sin abrir el inventario en todo momento y si veía de maravilla espero resuelvan eso pronto jode mucho

Sigo pensando pq no pusieron animaciones al menos cuando interactúas con la vegetación para que se mueva, lo mismo cuando disparas a cosas del entorno que quedan estáticas en lugar de moverse como en next gen, no considero que eso sea terriblemente demandante sabiendo que juegos viejos tienen esas cosas. Igualmente no podemos pedir grandes trabajos de optimización cuando esta versión fue sacada para cumplir y ya (tampoco el hardware es el mejor, esta bastante obsoleto) Es un juego decente, no se puede pretender mucho más, el que no tiene pc potente o consola next gen por lo menos no se queda con las ganas de jugarlo

Graphics not terribly far apart from the two, but the shadow affect adds so much immersion . Find it weird that shadow affects were in RE2-3 remakes, but not here 🤨. *Correction, PS4 PRO version does in fact have shadows. 😅
Yeah, the PS4(base) version is the only one I can get. I played the demo on PS4, and honestly, it didn't look TOO bad. Maybe that's me coping -- or maybe I'm not that picky. Like they say; beggers can't be choosers. I really want to play this game. LOL

I hope the Switch 2 is as powerful as the PS4/Pro at least so this game can come to it. I think Capcom was considering porting this game to the Switch, but couldn't due to its limited hardware. The original game was developed for the GameCube so it makes sense for them to try porting this to the Switch 2.
at all the people who saying they cannot believe how the ps4 able to ran this game... Don't Expect Them To Build This Game On Ps5 And Port It To Ps4, it doesn't works like that. the game seems to be built and made for the ps4 in mind as a foundation and from there they'll do coding and such for the ps5, the series's and PC. just because the game was first announced to be a ps5 and XSX/S doesn't magically make it a current Gen game that ported to last gen.
Guys, I am with you all :) PS4 Pro is more than enough to handle these games, even standard PS4. We are the wisest, because, the best thing is to wait, in this case, for a PS5 Slim. Better design, smaller footprint, and no liquid metal paste, which has been ruining (allegedly) some PS5 consoles. But to me, is the design... it is so horrendous, I just cannot do it... is like making love to an ugly fat lady, who is rich... convenient, but hard to stomach.

Lo más seguro es que lancen un parche, muchos tienen ese problema y si capcom esta al pendiente espero que lo arreglen, incluso en ps5 o series s pasa un poco por lo que leí en más comentarios
Ojalá sea lo mas pronto posible ya que se hace algo incómodo jugar así y que ciertas texturas no carguen, note que también es un tipo de bug al abrir el inventario o recoger cosas pasa lo de las texturas

Tengo una misma opinión respecto a eso jajaja, la GPU de la PS4 Pro es muy buena supera en muchos aspectos a la de la Normal sin embargo no hubo muchos juegos que realmente mostrarán dicha capacidad, los pocos que de verdad mostraron eso fueron RDRll, Spiderman (a mí parecer),los GOW, los Resident que son remakes y el Village que a mí parecer es mejor jugar este último en la Pro y The Last of Us part ll, ahí en fuera los demás juegos solo mejoraban ligeramente la Resolucion
Va 900p de resolución la ps4 al igual que resident evil village.
Tlou 2, Gow 4 y 5 y el Rdr2 llevan esa consola al maximo creo que esos juegos si le sacaron todo el potencial

To me it didn't matter what console I played it in, I just wanted to play. Fortunately I got a ps5 back in November as the only thing I was worried about was my ps4 overheating and sounding like a turbine engine.
The PS4 version have texture loading issue's. Hopefully they can fix it. RE2 and 3 had none of these issue's.
RE 2 and 3 were far less demanding than this game.

@@DeadPhoenix86DP It can happen on a PC also if your textures any less than High 8gb, but for this you need a GPU 12 Gb of VRAM or even more. It looks like all PS don't have enough memory for this. I'm not sure if they can fix this but we'll see.

Esperaba que con el VRR este juego superara lo 60 frame como el remke del 2 y 3, per aparantemente capcom dejo la casi la misma version de la ps4 pro. Creo que se podia sacar a la ps5 el juego es similar al remake de del 3 en graficos, ojala saquen mas tarde un pacht que desbloquee eso 60 frame con la funcion de VRR.
Achei quando falaram que iam fazer o remake que teria versão VR também mas um gasto deste com um valor do VR do mesmo do console e não fizeram sendo que dá para jogar VR no meta
hyped for this game but ps5 is kind of a bummer. even on performance mode (no RT) the game still drops to the 40s in certain areas, not to mention even on my 1080p display the demo looked a little blurry. couldve used more optimization work.

Funny, because the PS4 Pro on performance mode plays just as good as the PS5 in its own performance mode. But you are right, the PS5 should be locked at 60 at all times.
I'm playing on PS5 with all the graphical bells and whistles. I personally don't mind the slowdowns in framerate so much. This game looks and plays awesome!

No sean idiotas, compren los juegos en físico, comprar digital es tirar el dinero al tacho de la basura. A menos que esten muy baratos, yo compré el Jedi Fallen order en 4,99 dolaruchos en digital, pos ahí si vale la pena, pero comprar un juego full price en digital es una babosada.
La versión de Playstation 4 perfectamente estuviera bien a 1080p dinámicos y 30fps, y en cuanto PS4 Pro ahí si se nota las mejoras reales en cuanto la resolución.
En Playstation 5 se mira espectacular pero le hace falta más trabajo en unos aspectos

@@christianbarreto7355 Lo hacen a proposito para hacer parecer la version de PS5 como que es mejor. Cuando las texturas no tienen nada que ver con la capacidad de la maquina! En PS3 juegos como Uncharted tenían texturas increibles en algunas escenas, gracias a la gran capacidad del Blu-Ray que era exclusivo de Sony en ese tiempo. Asi que a otro con ese cuento! La PS4 es mas de capaz de trabajar con texturas de altisima calidad, es cosa de ver a God of War, de hecho lo estuve jugando en la PS4 estandar (ni siquiera la pro) hace unos días, y al volver a ver la presentación del juego, las texturas de la piel de Kratos es una cosa impresionante!

Lo malo del juego es un bug al entrar al inventario se joden las texturas pasa en todas pero en ps4 tarda mucho en cargar la textura por que juegue sin abrir el inventario en todo momento y si veía de maravilla espero resuelvan eso pronto jode mucho

Sigo pensando pq no pusieron animaciones al menos cuando interactúas con la vegetación para que se mueva, lo mismo cuando disparas a cosas del entorno que quedan estáticas en lugar de moverse como en next gen, no considero que eso sea terriblemente demandante sabiendo que juegos viejos tienen esas cosas. Igualmente no podemos pedir grandes trabajos de optimización cuando esta versión fue sacada para cumplir y ya (tampoco el hardware es el mejor, esta bastante obsoleto)
Es un juego decente, no se puede pretender mucho más, el que no tiene pc potente o consola next gen por lo menos no se queda con las ganas de jugarlo

Graphics not terribly far apart from the two, but the shadow affect adds so much immersion . Find it weird that shadow affects were in RE2-3 remakes, but not here 🤨. *Correction, PS4 PRO version does in fact have shadows. 😅
Yeah, the PS4(base) version is the only one I can get. I played the demo on PS4, and honestly, it didn't look TOO bad. Maybe that's me coping -- or maybe I'm not that picky. Like they say; beggers can't be choosers. I really want to play this game. LOL

I hope the Switch 2 is as powerful as the PS4/Pro at least so this game can come to it. I think Capcom was considering porting this game to the Switch, but couldn't due to its limited hardware. The original game was developed for the GameCube so it makes sense for them to try porting this to the Switch 2.

Guys, I am with you all :) PS4 Pro is more than enough to handle these games, even standard PS4. We are the wisest, because, the best thing is to wait, in this case, for a PS5 Slim. Better design, smaller footprint, and no liquid metal paste, which has been ruining (allegedly) some PS5 consoles. But to me, is the design... it is so horrendous, I just cannot do it... is like making love to an ugly fat lady, who is rich... convenient, but hard to stomach.
