- This is a program I videotaped as a part of the Jubilee series I created while a staff producer/director at Kentucky Educational Television (KET). It was recorded live on tape at The Osborne Brothers Hometown Festival in Hyden, KY. It is one of my favorite programs I ever directed. I only did one edit in the whole hour and that where Sonny introduces the band. He had intended not to talk at all but Gene Wooten had a tuning problem with his Dobro and Sonny filled the space with his introductions. I am uploading this on the day of Bobby's death and with unlimited gratitude and respect for arguably the best Bluegrass band that ever was. I was honored to call both Bobby and Sonny friend. RIP

I was actually lucky to have seen Bobby about 5 or 6 years ago at a small local Bluegrass festival only about 3 miles from my home in Northeast PA - One of those thing I will never forget!
About the most beautiful thing you will ever hear.
So sad my favorite lead singer Bobby Osborne passed away last week 😢 ❤love all his hits. Rest in peace my hero
Legends of Bluegrass
I had heard the song Lorena once before performed by a couple of local people I know and I liked it. Now that I have heard Bobby and Sonny do it it's one of my all time favorites. Absolutely beautiful! Rest in peace my brothers.
Thanks Russ, I was so tough getting the news of Bobby's leaving us. I think you've done a great service by sharing this show.
