I was looking for a fun experience and that’s what I got with postal. Super fun with humor and references sprinkled throughout just made it even better.

no not really, the game is filled with memes such as super villain explaining his plan to a defeated hero meme and karen meme, seems to me they spend too much time on twitter and aped everything they saw there. Gameplay is good but the writing and the jokes are pathetic.

I'd say the criticisms of Brain Damage here are very valid. It is a good game no doubt, but far from perfect and far from what I'd consider a classic. It is, in a way, very 2022: a firm 7/10.

Most games ever made aren't even classics, this obessesion with trying to find masterpieces is what makes discourse so one sided. People talk about how 2004 was a great year, but I am willing to bet most people never played half overall games that came out that year.

I just beat this last night on postal difficulty, and that courtyard fight is absolutely the hardest part of the game. The rest of the game doesn't have nearly as many clown elementals
I just started playing this yesterday. Took me 30min to get used to the feel but man this is a great game. I didn’t have any problems with the levels , i like the variety and i have just been enjoying shooting stuff with all the weapons. I love that there is enough ammo to shoot all your guns .

I really liked how during the fight against your doppelgänger, he does the slide jumps like you do because they knew the player would find out about during the playthrough, and it does actual feel like you’re fighting yourself.
I recently got this game so this video came out perfect timing.

hey kirk, I don't know if you remember me but I recommended Arthurian Legends a while ago and seeing that you recently reviewed vomitoreum, I would like to recommend two other games made with gzdoom: memoirs of magic and snap the sentinel, better not I say nothing more because I would like you to try them for yourself and review them, since they are both very underrated and there are very few videos on youtube talking about them. So when you can check them out.

I think the pistol is actually based on the smart pistol from Titanfall.
The level design really killed it for me but I'm not a big fan of Postal so that probably didn't help much either.

Also Have you guys seen many trump supporters in the suburbs walking around with redneck double barrel shotguns in the suburbs with confederate flags? In Arizona of all places where the postal games take place. This is like some middle upper class liberal from new york wrote the game. Gameplay is good but the writing is garbage, which is the problem with most modern games to be honest. Feels like the industry is filled with all the losers from hollywood who write the horrible capesht marvel movies and for some reason they and Anthony Burch write the story in modern games.
